'tis the season, and love is the reason

We met in college. Emily had been working as a Student Ambassador at Waynesburg University for about 2 years when she was asked to train new hires for tours of campus. One of those new hires was Andrew! During the tour, Emily pulled a sarcastic joke from her repertoire, golf became the subject. Unbeknownst to Emily, Andrew was on the golf team. (If you know Emily and her impeccable timing for things this should make you laugh.) Emily proceeding to joke about who would even be on the golf team at the middle of no where Waynesburg University, prompting Andrew to raise his hand, while everyone else smirked and looked at him. Emily, who simply turned into Bob the Tomato from VeggieTales from embarassment, laughed it off, apologized and wanted to crawl into a hole, lol. A little while later, an Instagram follow request from Andrew, a couple conversations back and forth, including Emily horrifically trying to flirt with Andrew about golf leading to Emily being left on read (I know right), Emily had given up. But hope was not lost! A close college friend stepped in and talked to Andrew about Emily. And from there on, we started! Four years later, multiple NHL Penguins hockey games, one cross country trip, a college graduation, multiple Padres games and SDFC games, and more than a handful of movie theatre trips later, December 27th, 2025 came with Andrew proposing to Emily. We couldn't have chosen a better story, better partner, or better life than ours.
