This 5.6-mile loop trail is not a super easy hike but Old Rag takes the cake if you're looking for a real tough one.

Skyline Drive lets you take in breathtaking views of the Shenandoah from above without breaking a sweat.

This winery, brewery and distillery does it all and does it well (Denise & Steve approve). Also check out other wineries in the area, like Mt. Run Winery.
Far Gohn Brewing Co.
From quaint farm breweries to industrial breweries, there are plenty of options. Some other choices include Old Trade, Death Ridge, Barking Rose and Beer Hound.
Charlottesville
One of our favorite places in VA, Charlottesville has some of the best wineries on the East Coast! Some of our favorites are Afton, Barboursville, Flying Fox, King Family and Veritas. If you need a break from the wineries, you can take a stroll around UVA's lovely campus or go on a tour of Jefferson's Monticello.
Culpeper
From the walkable historic district to the nearby battlefields, this town is teeming with history. Enjoy afternoon tea at Miss Minerva's, grab breakfast at Moving Meadows Farm Bakery (we've heard amazing things about their cinnamon buns) or have lunch at Flavor on Main or It's About Thyme.
Graves Mt. Stables
One of our favorite ways of experiencing the VA countryside is on horseback. You can book a 1-hr trail ride that traverses forests, creeks and orchards. We even saw fox kits last time!
