December and January are peak months for manatees! Drive just one hour from the wedding location to spot manatees along the boardwalks, or rent a kayak and paddle right alongside the gentle creatures.
Gatorland
Did someone say alligators? Amelia insists that all visitors to Central Florida make a pilgrimage to the lesser-known great theme park of the area. The theme being gators, of course. Myriad gator-related activities await you, from feeding baby gators with a fishing pole to zip-lining over the gator-filled ponds. Cocoa Beach
Cocoa is the closest beach to the wedding venue! Florida's beautiful, sandy beaches are just an hour's drive from you. Follow the street address to Cherie Down Park, a quiet and picturesque beach access point with parking available.
Kennedy Space Center
This famous shuttle launch location has a visitor center! You can learn about space travel history, ride a launch simulator, and even see inside a space shuttle. This is right near Cocoa Beach, so it would make for a fun beach/museum day trip!
Universal Studios Florida
Universal is a prime spot for rollercoaster enthusiasts. The theme park opened Epic Universe this year, a new park featuring Super Nintendo World and How to Train Your Dragon. Look out for Amelia's high school, which can be seen from the top of practically every coaster!
Walt Disney World
If you've been feeling a little too wealthy lately, Disney World Orlando will happily lighten your wallet for you. If you want to experience the Happiest Place on Earth on a budget, swing by Disney Springs -- access to this shopping area is free, as well as parking.
SeaWorld Orlando
The third major attraction in Orlando is this combination theme park/zoo/aquarium. SeaWorld additionally has a water park (Aquatica) and an all-inclusive dolphin encounter park (Discovery Cove).
