Kierestin was the mastermind behind the whole thing. She tried for months to get us together but we just weren't ready or interested. After the thousandth time of her asking me I finally said yeah you can give him my number. Later that night I received a text from Clint. Then we texted each other every so often until our first face to face conversations.

It was the day for Nancy's benefit. We didn't know until later that day that we would both be there. I was there helping with the 5k walk/run. Clint was doing the bike run. When the bikes returned from the run my nerves went through the roof. I was sitting at a table with Justin. Clint came right up and sat right down next to me. We sat there in dead silence for 20 minutes. He finally said "Hello, I guess I'll be the first to talk." and I responded back with "Hi, I was just working up the courage to." Then we sat there while he made fun of me being so quiet and shy, along with snap chatting me with those crazy filters on my face. That night we learned a lot about each other and stayed pretty close to each other the whole night.

All day he was asking me where I wanted to eat and at that time I was vegan so it was hard to think of a place that I thought that we would both enjoy. So we went to Cheddar's for our first meal. He picked me up at my apartment after he got off work. Then we headed to Cheddar's. I remember ordering steamed broccoli and french fries (how he didn't make fun of me is a wonder to me.) He ordered a salad with chicken and had ranch and french dressing (never seen that combo in my life.) After dinner he wanted to go walk around the Findlay reservoir but girly me wore a dress and high wedges and there is no way I would of made it up the hill or the stairs, so unfortunately I had to turn that down. (Last time I wore wedges on a date with him.) So instead I suggested we went to Walmart pick out a random $5 movie and ice cream. (When I was picking out my ice cream is when he knew he wanted to be with me.) We went back to my apartment and watched the movie and ate our ice cream. Then after he went home to take care of Bo.

YES!! I never saw it coming. All month long I was trying to send out hints on rings that I like with little knowledge that he was already looking at rings for me. The day before we left his sisters house and I was just frustrated cause I didn't think it would ever happen. I showed him rings on our drive home and he just nodded his head. Frustrated! Later the next day I was away for most of the day coaching. I instantly changed into more comfortable clothes and went into the spare room to start packing for our vacation coming up. That put me in a bad mood as I was trying on swimsuits (now what women would be in a good mood trying on swimsuits for the first time in 10 or so months.) He called me out and I of course gave attitude (how he still asked me after my sass? Surprises me! I felt awful after the fact.) But I went out and he told me something was wrong with my fish. Which was concerning to me cause he was acting weird earlier. So I was telling Clint what the fish was doing earlier and not paying attention to what Clint was doing. I was just thinking he got down to see the fish better. I was wrong! I did a double look and noticed he was holding a ring box with a ring in it. I was speechless! He asked if I would marry him and I of course said YES!!
