Flight
This is the closest airport, though it's fairly small and only a few airlines fly there so fares might be pricey. Other accessible airports include Richmond, Virginia (RIC - just over an hour drive to Charlottesville), Dulles International Airport (IAD - 2 to 3 hours drive depending on traffic), and Washington National (DCA - 2.5-3 hours drive depending on traffic).
Hotel
UPDATE: The block is now full. We apologize to those who missed out. Please take a look at "Other Options" below. We have a block of discounted ($215/night) rooms at the Boar's Head, (where we will also be staying, and which will be the launch site for the shuttles) but PLEASE NOTE: To get the discounted rate, the resort requires a two-night stay. The link below should only be used to book Friday and Saturday night. If you want to stay beyond Friday and Saturday nights, or book more than two rooms, call and mention the Hamric-Breeding block.
House Or Rental
If the Boar's Head is not your speed, feel free to check out other hotels in Charlottesville, especially those downtown, near the UVA campus, or in the area around the intersection of Hydraulic Road and Rte. 29. There are also lots of cool rental properties available on StayCharlottesville.com (we recommend The Townsman "Unhotel" on the downtown mall), Airbnb, and VRBO.
Shuttle
November 17, 2018 3:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Outbound shuttles will load starting at 3 and leave promptly at 3:15. First return shuttle departs Highland at 8:45. Last shuttle run departs Highland at 10. Shuttles only run to and from the Boar's Head, but if you're staying elsewhere you should feel free to use Lyft/Uber to get to the Resort and use the shuttles, especially because we hope to take over the bar once we come back from Highland.
