Wedding Party

Mackenzie Clift

Maid of Honor

Kenzie is Sam’s sister and best friend. Born only 16 months apart, the two have been inseparable since day one, from growing up in Deerfield, to attending colleges only 20 minutes apart in Connecticut, to being roommates in Southie and now neighbors in Eastie. They have shared in life’s most cherishable moments and toughest challenges. Kenzie knows all of Sam’s biggest mistakes and most embarrassing moments (and will probably tell you all about them), and she is also her fiercest supporter. Kenzie brings loyalty, laughter, and exactly what is on her mind, to everything she does, including the planning of this wedding. Sam and Jer are extremely grateful for Kenzie's assistance, candid opinions, and patience throughout this process. This day would not be nearly as special without her.

Camilla Baronas

Bridesmaid

Camilla, also known as "Mill" is another of Sam's best friends. Mill and Sam have shared many of life's greatest moments over the course of their nearly 20 years of friendship. From the high school soccer field, to being roommates in Boston, Camilla has been there for Sam in countless ways and her partner in the "life of the party" role. Mill has been a consistent presence that is always ready with a home cooked meal, handcrafted cocktail, and the kind of advice (and compliments) every woman needs. The ultimate hype woman is an understatement. If you see her on the dancefloor, you may get to see her Rasputin or if we are really lucky, her karaoke skills.

Shelley Alden

Bridesmaid

Shelley has been Sam’s best friend for over 10 years. Although they didn’t grow up together, from the first day they met, Sam knew Shell was in it for the long haul. Their friendship was instant and effortless, since (before) day one at Quinnipiac. These two bonded over their commonalities: Cape life, the stressors of OT school, and love for F45. Shelley has folded Sam's clothes (but honestly, who here hasn't?), curled her hair a million times, shared her clothes, and has shown her love through acts of kindness in countless other ways. She is Sam's YES woman; from spontaneous Red Sox games to running half marathons, their friendship is built on shared memories, endless support, and the kind of laughter that makes your stomach hurt. Shelley is the most reliable friend there is and jokingly, Sam's forever emergency contact. Shelley is Sam's resident handy-woman, usually equipped with nothing but her bare hands and a refusal to accept defeat. So if anything goes sideways on the big day, don't worry, Shelley's got it covered.

Kathryn Griffin

Bridesmaid

Kathryn is Sam's cousin and has been a constant in her life since day one. When Sam reflects on her childhood, her best memories are time spent with Kathryn and the cousins, playing pretend in each other's basements and backyards, trips to the Cape, Nantasket beach, and all the character building chaos in between. It is hard to believe that those same kids are now adults, old enough to be married. Being cousins has given them a lifelong friendship that continues to grow with new life chapters. Kathryn, Lindsey, Sam, and Kenzie (aka "sister cousins") never go too long without a dinner date, whether that means trying a new restaurant in Boston, or trying a new homemade recipe, while catching up and sharing wine and lots of laughs. Kathryn is one of the most caring, thoughtful, hilarious, and sincere people you could ever meet. Her style and creativity (and Canva skills) have been a tremendous help in making this wedding so special. And if you wake up on Sunday morning with an ailment of any sort, go find Kathryn, she'll be ready with an Advil, Tums, or any other remedy you might need stocked in her purse.

Lindsey Griffin

Bridesmaid

Lindsey is the youngest "sister cousin," but probably the most mature. She is someone who would do absolutely anything for the people she loves. Lindsey is loyal, funny, authentic, and caring, and is a central part of some of Sam's best memories. Sam treasures the role she has been able to play in Lindsey’s life over the years, from "helping" change her diaper, to dinner and cocktails out in Boston. Sam is endlessly grateful that Lindsey has remained a constant presence in her life and is immensely proud of the woman she has become. As a kindergarten teacher, Lindsey is one of the most comforting and patient people Sam knows, and she has been an integral part of the wedding planning process, offering her assistance to get things done and providing words of reassurance along the way.

Katie Decroteau

Bridesmaid

Katie is someone who just gets Sam. Sam feels most understood, seen, and completely herself with Katie by her side. Their friendship is grounded in a shared sense of humor, an appreciation for the little things in life, and an uncanny ability to lose, break, or stain just about anything (just ask Katie's fiancee, Chad). Katie, Sam, and Shelley grew incredibly close during OT school, spending long hours together in the library studying, and finding ways to stay sane on the weekends. Sam has always been drawn to Katie’s infectious laugh and silly, light-hearted energy. She’s the kind of person who makes everything feel a little brighter. She is a loyal friend and an essential part of Sam and Jeremiah's story. If you cross paths with Katie on September 19th, remember to congratulate her as well as she celebrates her wedding on August 1st!

Sierra Haskell

Bridesmaid

Sam feels incredibly grateful to have Sierra, Jeremiah’s older sister, by her side on their wedding day. From the early days of Sam & Jer, Sierra has been rooting for them and wanting the very best for their future together. Some of Sam’s favorite memories include time spent with Sierra and the Waite Family. From family dinner's and game nights in Deerfield, to summer cape trips, and even safari adventures in Uganda, they have shared lots of good times and laughter (often at Jeremiah's expense). Sierra’s warmth, kindness, and humor have made her feel like family since the start. Sam once thought having one sister was more than enough, but she couldn't be happier to gain another. She feels so lucky to have Sierra, and her husband Jon, as a part of this new chapter of family and love.

Anya Rasulova

Officiant

Jeremiah met Anya in 1997 and immediately connected with her. He was a newborn, and she was the Waite family's 10-year-old neighbor in Uzbekistan who helped babysit him and Sierra. She quickly became a part of the family; Sierra and Jer consider her their "Uzbek sister". Anya has been a hugely influential presence throughout Jeremiah's life. She's self-motivated, smart, and successful, but more importantly she is honest and authentic with the people she cares about. She asks deep questions and doesn't let you shy away from the tough answers, always wanting the best for those she loves. Sam and Jeremiah could not imagine a better person to be with them on their wedding day, and to hold them true to the vows they will share with each other. Along with Anya comes two of the sweetest and most fun flower girls, Alexa and Sophia. They are seasoned at this role after Sierra and Jon's wedding in 2024. Sam and Jer are so happy these two are willing to take on another wedding and will be rewarded for their service with lots of cake at the reception (just don't tell Mom)!

Colin Hickey

Best Man

If you know Colin well, you count yourself lucky. To have a supportive, loyal, generous friend who is also the funniest person in the room, is rare. But his greatest gift is his magnetic ability to bring people together. It's fair to say our entire hometown friend group came together because we all wanted to be friends with Colin Hickey. Jeremiah has been lucky enough to share many stages of life with Colin, from their busboy career in high school, to moving to Boston together. Through it all he's been a source of support and endless laughs, making every step more enjoyable. There's no better person Jeremiah could imagine having by his side on the big day. There's also no better person to keep the party going; Colin is lightning on the dancefloor and he's always down for one more Corona. While Colin plays the role of Jeremiah's Best Man, Sam wants to make sure everyone knows that Colin is also her best man. Colin has played a pivotal role in Sam and Jeremiah's relationship, epitomizing a best friend to both of them for the last almost 20 years. Colin has provided the most unwavering unbiased support to Sam and Jer and has more than earned his title for this special day. Colin is truly the best.

Justin Blake

Groomsman

They say good friends are never far away, and even though Justin left New England after high school (to Oklahoma, Texas, and now Arizona), he's always felt close by. Between many visits out west and summer trips on the Cape, its a testament to our childhood friend group that we've been able to stay so connected throughout the years. It certainly helps that Justin is a pilot, and because of that, don't be surprised if during the wedding he gets distracted by a departing plane from Logan and mutters something like "Airbus A300" to no one in particular. With an outgoing and genial personality, Justin can makes friends with anybody, and on the dancefloor he probably will.

Oliver Fox

Groomsman

Another day-one friend from home, Oliver has been a constant companion since middle school. He and Jeremiah were teammates in high school, roommates at UMass, and moved together (along with Colin) to Boston where they lived in a shoebox on Newbury Street. A man of many talents and interests, Oliver's always ready to discuss books, science, movies, and is also the coolest person Jeremiah knows who actively bird-watches. Oliver has always been a dependable and supportive friend, and is often the ringleader for planning group trips, dinners, or even just phone calls that keep us all connected. Oliver is the absolute best hype-man and Jeremiah is stoked to have him here to celebrate with.

Dylan Talbot

Groomsman

Dylan might be the most likely of the Deerfield group to eventually become president, as long as the rest of us keep our mouths shut. Knowing each other since elementary school, Jeremiah has many enlightening stories from his friendship with Dylan throughout their stages of life. The common thread that Jeremiah takes away is his admiration of Dylan's mix of intelligence and confidence. It's these traits that make it not surprising at all that Dylan has become a leader in the U.S. Marines. The last several years have taken him far from where they started in Deerfield, but despite the distance and time zone differences, whenever they get the chance to reconnect they pick up right where they left off. Living in Japan and with a baby on the way, Dylan won't be at the wedding, but his support and friendship will be felt from across the world.

Sean Murphy

Groomsman

Don't let him fool you by having the world's most common name, Sean Patrick Murphy is squarely one of one. His unique sense of humor, deep knowledge of random topics, and various worldly hobbies have provided Jeremiah with endless entertaining stories since meeting at UMass Amherst, to being neighbors now in East Boston. He's worn many hats in the friend group: international travel guide, expert ski instructor, and Michelin-quality chef (who can turn a 20 minute recipe into a 2 hour frenzy) to name a few. Sean is one of the most generous and thoughtful people in Jeremiah's life, and all who know him are richer for it. Jeremiah can't wait to celebrate with Sean by his side.

David Sokol

Groomsman

Developed in a black-budget government lab, David was designed for the sole purpose of increasing shareholder value. Much of the economic prowess we enjoy in this country can be traced back to his strong work ethic, intelligence, and laser-focused mind. However, the scientists accidentally spilled a Bud Light during development, and ended up creating who we know today as Dave "Mr. Saturday" Sokal. Since meeting him at UMass, Jeremiah's always been impressed by Dave's ability to be the voice of reason in every room he's in, while usually being the life of the party as well. It's a combination that makes Dave a hugely positive influence, and Jeremiah is grateful to call him a friend.

Dominic Savoie

Groomsman

Dom contains a dichotomy that cannot be overstated: he's probably the single smartest person Jeremiah knows, but he often works hard to conceal it. As roommates at UMass, Jeremiah was struck by Dom's ability to consistently push the boundaries of academic achievement during the week, and push the boundaries of letting loose on the weekends. An aerospace engineer and a modern-day Renaissance man, Dom has added an element of fun and unpredictability to every ski weekend, bar trivia night, and international trip over the years. Dom's easygoing nature and constant friendship has always been appreciated, and the party would not be the same without him.

Stephen Stamegna

Groomsman

Another friend from the UMass crew, Stephen and Jeremiah connected early on, bonding over the shared torture of engineering labs and group projects. Looking back, it was some of the most stressful times but also some of the most fun, largely because they refused to let each other take it too seriously. As a study partner, a hiking buddy, or just a listening ear on the other end of the phone, Stephen has always been a thoughtful and authentic friend that Jeremiah has leaned on and learned from. He's also been immensely supportive of Jeremiah and Sam's relationship since early on, and they're both excited to have him here to celebrate the next step.
