What is a Hallowedding?

We decided a traditional wedding wasn't really our style. Yes, we will have a wedding ceremony that will be...mostly traditional, but the reception -- we wanted to throw a Halloween party to celebrate! Pumpkins, floating candles, potions, candy, and more! Costumes are strongly encouraged, but not required. We want everyone to have a spooktacular time celebrating!

What kind of costume should I wear?

It's Halloween and we want our guests to wear something they're comfortable in and have fun! The ceremony and reception will be held indoors, so plan your costume accordingly. Please don't overthink the costume, it's just a fun twist to the Hallowedding theme. Answer
The wedding party will wear formal attire for the wedding ceremony and pictures, then during the social cocktail hour, they can change into costumes (optional) for the Hallowedding reception.

We kindly ask that guests make arrangements for children under the age of 10, as our wedding will feature Halloween-themed décor and elements that may not be suitable for little ones. We want everyone—parents included—to be able to relax and fully enjoy the celebration without worry.
