How We Met: Who Knows?

Honestly, it’s hard to say exactly when we “met” — because we've always just been there, in each other’s lives. As kids, we knew each other only in passing: to Bryson, Cleo was “the girl who skates with my sister,” and to Cleo, Bryson was “Brianna’s brother.” We grew up side by side without really knowing what the future had in store. It wasn’t until high school that we truly became friends, and our bond deepened when we started working together as camp counselors at Camp Swonder. The campers decided early on that the figure skater and the hockey player were obviously meant to be together. Bryson even sealed the deal with a Ring Pop proposal — much to the dismay of one camper who had a serious crush on Cleo and was heartbroken to think we were actually married. Eventually, the jokes about the skater and the hockey player being a couple turned into something real. Bryson asked Cleo out, and we’ve been together ever since. From long-distance seasons to a pandemic, and even a big move to Tennessee, we’ve grown stronger with every step. We’ve shared laughs, challenges, and countless memories — and now, we’re so excited to start this next chapter as husband and wife.
