We're getting MARRIED!

Both avid lovers of music, Chloe and Eric met in early 2016 at a small dive bar in Columbus. Eric, a musician, was playing the show Chloe was there to see. They struck up a conversation after the the music was over and hit it off right away. Over the next year, they repeatedly ran into each other while out and about at various local music events. Finally, on New Year's Eve just after the clock struck midnight to ring in 2017, Eric asked Chloe out to dinner, and the rest is history.

Eric knew Chloe would catch on quickly if he wanted to surprise her in any way, so he came up with the perfect plan to catch her off guard! One Saturday in September, Eric had plans to play a small live show at a bar and riding stable in southeastern Ohio, Uncle Buck's Riding Stable and Dance Barn. Eric had ridden horses several times in his life, but Chloe never had! He suggested they head down early before the gig and go on a guided ride. After several wonderful hours on horseback through woods, hills, and the Moonville Tunnel, Eric and Chloe posed in front of the Uncle Buck's sign as one of the fellow riders pointed a camera their way. Chloe thought Eric just wanted a photo after their wonderful ride, but she was absolutely stunned to look over and see him down on one knee! She of course said "Yes!" immediately. As they embraced, the cameraman cheered, "ONLY AT UNCLE BUCK'S!" which has now become a favorite catchphrase! From Eric: On our first date (and after a yearlong friendship), I quipped that Chloe was in for a 5 year minimum relationship with me so I could show her just how serious I was about her. It just so happened that our engagement fell very close to our 5-year anniversary, so we now like to joke that I extended the contract indefinitely by proposing. :)
