April 2014 AEPhi & Delta Chi Formals After a "chance encounter" at Balls Bookstore, Melissa and Colt decided to invite each other on their respective formals. What better way to get to know each other than around 200 of our closest friends? Colt was a trooper while helping Melissa keep Passover dietary restrictions on their first weekend away and Melissa's best friends got to spend some quality time with Colt. May 2015 - September 2019 We survived over 4 years of long distance, hours of phone calls & FaceTimes, dozens of Frontier Airlines flights, and countless trips to New Smyrna Beach, FL & Asheville, NC during the start of our professional careers. We learned a lot and supported each other through ups and downs. It wasn't easy, but it was worth it. During this time, Melissa also adopted Colt's cats, Bob and Hope...

September 2019 Melissa (and the cats) move to Denver! Living together is a breath of fresh air. We enjoyed 1.5 years in our apartment in the Baker neighborhood through the beginning of the COVID pandemic. February 2021 We purchased our first home in the West Highland neighborhood in Denver and love it!

July 3, 2021 We continue our annual tradition of both families meeting for lunch in Asheville. This year, it was at the Sierra Nevada Brewery. After lunch, Colt, Melissa and their families take a walk on the outdoor trail, where Colt surprises Melissa with a proposal!
