We're not here to tell you what to do, but if you want some inspiration...

Julian is famous for it after all. Some seating

Liberty Station

2820 Historic Decatur Rd, San Diego, CA 92106

An old converted Naval training center, Liberty Station has it all - a massive artisan food hall, a craft beer hall (also featuring liquor and ciders and wine and lord knows what else), lots of shopping and markets, gorgeous outdoor lawns, restaurants, breweries. Bottom line, it's very cool, and should be wandered around.

Need a Beach?

There are a ton of beaches in San Diego, but Black's Beach is arguably the coolest. It's also clothing-optional, you have been warned. And, you have to go down a very steep cliff to access it, which means you have to hike back up said very steep cliff to leave it.

See some theatre

There's a ton of great theatre in SD, but we're biased. Kate's company (Loud Fridge Theatre Group) is currently producing "Neat", and you should go see it Friday night (loudfridge.com). If that's not your cup of tea, check out the show Kate's mom, Rosina, directed at Cygnet Theatre, "Present Laughter." (cygnettheatre.com)
