FAQs

If you have other questions that we don't have listed yet, please reach out to Zoe or Clay!
Question

Where should I fly into?

Answer

Ithaca has an airport. It might be cheaper to fly into Rochester or Syracuse which are both just over an hour away.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

Anywhere in Ithaca/Trumansburg or just outside of either is very convenient to our venue! We did not book hotel blocks. Air BnBs tend to be easier in this area depending on your group size.

Question

I only got reception information in my save the date and Invitation. Will there be a ceremony?

Answer

There will be a small private ceremony on Friday for close family and friends. Sadly, it is space limited based on venue. We sent a separate slip with that information to the people who are invited. If you have any questions, please ask!

Question

When are you sending invitations?

Answer

They went in the mail on June 23rd! If you haven't gotten your but you got a save the date, let us know!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Think cocktail attire but it might be warm so plan accordingly! We just want you to be comfortable.

Question

Do you have a registry?

Answer

Yes, the link it in the top menu!

Question

Where do I park?

Answer

For the ceremony-as close to the base of the falls as possible (see Park Map page). For the reception, there is a large lot right next to the venue. Since it is a State Park, you need to pay the entry fee for every car to get in. We are covering this, so just give your name and our names to the attendant!

Question

Will there be bathrooms?

Answer

There is a bathroom right next to the reception building. For the private ceremony, there are no bathrooms at the base of the falls so please plan accordingly. The easiest bathroom to use pre/post ceremony is the one located at the park office.

Question

Tell me about this hike to the private ceremony...

Answer

The hike is flat and covered in fine gravel. It is a wide path the whole way. It is about 3/4 of a mile out to the falls. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and cool clothing. There are a few benches along the way if you need a break. If you are unable or prefer not to hike out, we will not be offended. We can celebrate with you at the reception! Fun fact: This hike into the falls was the first hike that Clay and Zoe did together in January 2021

Question

Is there seating for the private ceremony?

Answer

No! We will all be standing if able. There are many places to rest along the hike or while you are waiting for the ceremony to begin. The ceremony will also be quite brief so that everyone else can also enjoy the beautiful falls.

Question

Where is the map that is supposed to be attached?

Answer

See the Park Map page! We got so excited to address and send the invites that we forgot to include the map.
