Vancouver (YVR)

Flights departing from US cities should select the Vancouver Airport (YVR), as it is the closest airport to the lodge. For alternative travel options, including travel from the Seattle Airport (SEA) please see the lodge's detailed travel instructions on their web page (link included below). *Important Note: A U.S. Passport is required for U.S. citizens traveling to Canada.

Getting to the Lodge

When you arrive in Vancouver there are 2 options for getting to the West Coast Wilderness Lodge (WCWL)/ Egmont/Madeira Park areas. Option 1- Rental Car/Ferry. The ferry terminal is a short 40 minute drive from the Vancouver Airport (YVR). The ferry departure terminal is "Horseshoe Bay" traveling to the "Langdale" terminal. This is a beautiful ferry ride that passes through Howe Sound, one of B.C.’s famous fjords. Your ferry ride ends in the town of Gibsons, from here, it is an hour-and-a-half drive to WCWL/Egmont. The ferry can accommodate vehicles of all sizes. It is recommended that you make a reservation for your vehicle ahead of time, to ensure the ferry doesn't fill up. Ferry schedule and reservations can be made on https://www.bcferries.com/. On the schedules page, click "Metro Vancouver - Vancouver Island and Sunshine Coast Schedules". Please note you should plan to arrive 60-90 minutes before ferry departure. Option 2- Float Plane See "Fly by Float Plane" for details.

West Coast Wilderness Lodge

We unfortunately cannot accommodate all of our guests at the hotel for the ceremony/reception site. Due to the limited amount of accommodations here, we can only accommodate immediate family at this location. Please do not contact the lodge directly as we have fully reserved the lodge and will be facilitating lodging at this location. For all of our other guests, we have many other accommodation choices available in the area and transportation to/from events will be arranged for the offsite lodging locations.

Fly by Float Plane to the Lodge

For all you classy folks that want to arrive fashionably to our wedding, you can do so by float plane! What?! From Vancouver/Victoria/Nanaimo/Whistler (1/2 hour flight)--Sunshine Coast Air offers daily scheduled flights from Vancouver and Nanaimo to Sechelt with connecting flights to the Lodge, as well as chartered flights from a range of locations. Alternatively, you may contact the West Coast Wilderness Lodge directly for assistance. Harbour Air also offers daily scheduled flights from Vancouver, Victoria & Nanaimo to Sechelt with connecting flights to the Lodge. To book a flight directly with Harbour Air call 1-800-665-0212. From Seattle: (2 hour flight)--Kenmore Air offers charter flights from Washington State directly to the Lodge. To book directly with Kenmore you can go to their website, www.kenmoreair.com, or West Coast Wilderness can book a flight for you.
