Question

I've never been to Canada before, how do I get in?

Answer

A valid U.S. passport is required for entry into Canada. Please check to make sure your passport has at least 6 months prior to its expiration before you travel. If you need to obtain a new passport, you can do so with the U.S. State Department and please allow at least 4-6 weeks for processing before traveling. U.S. Citizens do not have to obtain a visa to enter Canada.

Question

What if we want to come early, where should we stay/what should we do?

Answer

We hope you do! If you plan to spend a longer vacation here on either the front or back end of the wedding, we would recommend you stay in Vancouver, Squamish or Whistler. If you're interested in more information, we've compiled a travel document with things to do and where to stay from our travels up here. Just send us an email at clayandnicole2019@gmail.com and we'll gladly send our suggestions along!

Question

What is the currency in Canada?

Answer

The Canadian Dollar (CAD) is the currency. Note in most places you can use your credit cards, although note that American Express is not widely accepted in British Columbia. Check with your credit card company before you travel for conversion rate charges to USD, if applicable.

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you due to our small venue capacity.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids—we really do! We regretfully cannot accommodate them at the venue due to restricted numbers. We hope this may be an opportunity to be a night off for you at our wedding to celebrate!
