She's the sweetest dog mom ever and has the biggest heart out of anyone I've ever met. Alexis fills everyone’s cup up every single time she enters a room.
Isaac Moel
Best Man
Isaac has been locked in for the Best Man position since day 1. There are not many bonds tighter than the one between twin brothers! As twins, we have gotten to trade the big brother/little brother roles over the years and we have helped each other grow up throughout our lives. Isaac has been by my side for more days of my life than anyone else by a large margin and I am so damn lucky for that. If you know anything about me, you know a lot about Isaac too! Besides the numerous passions, hobbies, & interests that we share, Isaac is more recently a homestead builder, goat farmer, dog dad, and an inspiration to a whole lot of people.
Rayne Hoey

Loyalty and kindness are the two words that come to mind when thinking about Rayne. Michaela and Rayne met in college through the science Ed department at the University of Iowa. Together, they taught some eight graders at a local middle school and have been inseparable since. Rayne absolutely lights up a room with her smile and wit! Michaela and Rayne’s bond has only gotten better over our mutual love for rocks, TikTok, Taylor Swift’s new albums, and snapchat conversations. You are my girl, Rayne.
Logan Moel

Logan should really be considered as Best Man 2.0. He is 19 years old and in his first year of college. I don't want to speak for him but I believe he is aspiring to be a teacher and a coach! Ever since Logan was young he has been incredibly smart and somewhat bullish which makes sense since he had 2 older brothers to deal with! :) (Michaela is the same way!) Logan is such a great guy with a really bright future and I am proud to be his big bro! The best thing we have gotten to do together is when I got to coach the high school rugby team that Logan was the captain of. It was really crappy that his senior season, and my last season of coaching got robbed because of stupid COVID!
Callie Seylar

From elementary school to now, Callie has always been there through it all. Friendships like Callie and Michaela’s are golden and unbreakable, despite the distance. When thinking of all of the memories they have shared, Callie reminds Michaela of her strength, humor, and genuine care for those around her. Together, they have a ton of memories that would make anyone burst out laughing!
Parker Just

Parker is 28 years old and is an engineer at a firm in Cedar Rapids! I slowly started to get to know Parker when Michaela and I started dating Michaela in the summer of 2012. I think our first time spending quality time together was when we went to a Green Bay Packers game up in Minneapolis and since then I have thought of him as a good friend. Over the years Parker and I have watched countless football and basketball games together which is always fun because Parker is a hilarious guy and is fun to be around. I've been lucky enough to share a lot of great memories with Parker from go-karting in Branson, Missouri to cruising around Milford Sound Fjord and the amazing mountains and waterfalls of New Zealand.
Alana Just

I was the only girl in my family for quite sometime and I remember being so excited to have Alana around as a kid. Alana is Michaela’s cousin on the Just side. I admire everything about Alana; her spirit, ambition, and intelligence outmatches most. But most of all her activism and strong heart will take her wherever she chooses to go. Also, she sky dives and flies planes! And hasn’t even graduated high school! Seriously, Alana is the coolest.

Dave is 25 years old and works as an engineer at a firm in Ames, IA. He one of my best friends for life! Back in Junior High when Isaac and I switched schools and didn't know anyone, Dave was my first friend. Throughout middle school and high school David and I played football together, shot airsoft guns together (and against each other), camped in the woods, canoed in the creek, went to the movies, slept at each others house, went on summer vacations together, everything! Dave is incredibly smart as well as a super nice guy with a big heart. He has been loved by the Moels and Justs for many years!
Joey Farinelli

Joey is 25 years old and currently works as a Supply Chain Associate at the U of I Hospital. Our friendship developed so naturally that I could not tell you when we actually became friends. We spent a ton of time together in high school sitting by the lockers before class, and hanging out on countless weekends and summer nights. Jumping into playing rugby together our senior year and for years after that has been a great time. We also bond over videogames and a ton of other nerdy stuff! Since high school we continued to hang out a bunch and were also roommates for a while! We have gone to several St. Louis Cardinals games together as well as other fun trips. Joey is another one of those guys that just can't be replaced and I'm lucky to have him as a friend!
Trey Leonard

Trey is my younger cousin (22 years old) and my friend since we could barley walk! We have spent many Thanksgivings, Christmases, family reunions, etc. hanging out together. We also spent time together outside of those family events; we would have sleep overs and play kickball in the alleyway while our parents drank and played cards. We have always been super tight throughout the years and we are always looking out for each other. More recently Trey has been smashing baseballs and playing in the outfield for the Louisville Cardinals College Baseball Team. It has been really frickin awesome watching him develop both as a great athlete and a great man over the last few years.

When I think of class acts, Kyle Kerger is the man of the hour. Michaela met Kyle in her first year of the science education program at the University of Iowa and share a love for the outdoors and teaching kids. Kyle is the boyfriend of Michaela’s maid of honor, Alexis, so the science Ed department is really representing! Clay and Kyle quickly became pals over their love for rugby and D&D. Kyle is described as knowing “every word in the dictionary” and we couldn’t be more excited to have him ordain us.
