Saying things like he is a friend is an understatement he is more family than friend. Always ready at the drop of a hat to give a lending hand. Willing to drive any distance just to hang out. Genuine in everything he does and a sharp dresser I am honored to call him my best man.

Yessenia is James' oldest sister and is always down and ready to go to Mexico you tell her when. Because Yessenia is the oldest from her sibling she is always trying to plan things and sometimes overthinks nevertheless, she always has good intentions. Luis the other half of my sister Yeseña. He’s watched me grow up as a 9 year old watching SpongeBob in the living room with his daughter Elaine, those awkward teen years which we won’t mention to the mature man I am today. He is one of those role models every person needs in their life. He never sat me down to give me advice because that’s just not his style he has always given me advice through the life he lives setting the standard for how any person should live their life.

Salvador, Sal, Jr, Jay R, June Bug the man with 1,000 names and 1,000 jokes to match however you may refer to him know that he is always down! Friday night trip to San Diego? He’s already at the gas station fueling up because we’re taking his mamalona. You need a last minute pick up from Tijuana? Say less he’s already down the road no questions asked. This isn’t a friendship forged overnight it’s formed through countless years since childhood he has been someone I could rely on and I am happy to rely on him once more!

Jesse not just my brother but a teacher in many ways. He has taught me many things in life from learning how to ride a bicycle to teaching me how to shoot a basketball in backyard late at night, even giving me tips on how to drive a manual car (not getting upset that I damaging the clutch of his plum red Altima, affectionately known as the Altma). He has witnessed many first’s in my life watching me go on my first major date with Desiree and now a new chapter in my life, watching me walk down the aisle to marry my best friend.

Kenny the oldest of my nephews. A very handsome young man (he gets his looks from me… at least I would like to think okay not the height he’s considerably taller than me oh and not the eyes. Ah fine we look nothing alike I digress) A young man with infinite potential a recent high school graduate of 2023 living life on the edge but what is a young man to do after all. Desiree and I are excited to see where his adventurous spirit takes him!

Raymond is Desiree’s nephew. I am fondly known to him as “James the weird uncle” because of my peculiar hobbies of buying dead peoples things at estate sales to resell or going to the dessert seemingly in the middle of nowhere to geocache and hunt for puzzles. Regardless through those weird hobbies I’ve been able to form a close friendship and admiration for Ray. He recently graduated from NAU and we couldn’t be prouder of him! Of his accomplishments and everything he has persevered! We are thrilled he said yes to spend some more time with the weird uncle.

Alicia, my wine buddy! We met at my old job and I would constantly be going into her office, until, we became friends! We now have a monthly tradition to grab a glass of wine to make sure we remain close. Aventurera is the best word I can think of to describer her she isn't afraid to travel alone . She is one of my closest friends and I am honored to have her by my side.

My nephew Oscar is compassionate unless you happen to be in one of his sparring sessions a young individual with energy to spare he loves boxing (not sure why anyone wants to get hit, it hurts!) with a good natured personality and like most teenagers he loves to play call of duty. I know when the time comes he is always ready to say yes. Especially if it involves him saving me in every match we ever play.

Kaitlyn Is my niece. Being the first niece where I was old enough to truly understand what it meant to be an aunt I grew attached. I love all of my Nieces and Nephews they all have a different reason why they are my favorite. Kaitlyn taught me what it meant to be an aunt. She is a kind person and growing up to be incredible women.

Isaac is my youngest nephew a very bright individual his chip distribution business outcompetes my sole candy vending machine month after month. So much so I’m going to make him my business partner so we can expand the candy vending machine business. He is growing up to be a very special man!
