Claudia and Tanyon can’t really remember the first time they officially met. Claudia had always known of Tanyon since he was a teacher’s son, but it wasn’t until high school that their story truly began. Claudia was a junior, Tanyon a sophomore, and they ended up sitting near each other in Honor’s Chemistry (and so I guess you could say, they had "chemistry"). Claudia swears she was always flirting with him and trying to get Tanyon's attention, though she’s not sure he ever noticed. Their friendship started to grow from there. Claudia made the first move, giving Tanyon her phone number with the excuse that she didn’t like using Snapchat and needed to text him about schoolwork. Claudia's senior year and Tanyon's junior year they started to talk more and more. In an effort to get closer, she even tried setting him up with not one, but two of her friends (and yes—one of them is in the wedding party!). After months of group hangouts, the two finally spent time together, just the two of them. That Christmas, Tanyon surprised Claudia with a gift… and she showed up empty-handed. It’s still one of Tanyon's favorite things to tease her about. Then, at 3 a.m. on January 13, 2019, Tanyon asked Claudia to be his girlfriend. Seven years later, they’re still laughing, adventuring, and building their favorite story together.
