The Bavarian Inn is located along the Potomac River at the convergence of Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC. There is a lot of history nestled in this area, and it was a major battleground area during the Civil War. If history is not something that interests you, there are a number of outdoor adventures available for you. Please feel free to explore the Harpers Ferry Adventure Center which offers tubing rides down the Potomac, an aerial park, and zip lining adventures.
