We're Getting Married!

We met in the Spring of 2015. Anna was a third year medical student at Marshall University and Nate was finishing his Bachelors Degree in Education at Marshall. Like the good millennials we are, we first met through a dating app. In our first actual meeting however we immediately clicked. In fact, we extended our first date from just drinks to dinner. We have now decided to extend it for the rest of our lives. Cheers!

We planned a fun trip up to Portland, ME to celebrate after Anna had completed her Medicine Boards. We had a fun weekend planned. We had gotten tickets to see some of our favorite podcasters and were going to go explore Peaks Island the following day. At least that's all that Anna thought the weekend would be! Nate had some other plans... After enjoying a fun show on Friday, they took a Ferry boat ride to Peaks Island, ME on Saturday morning. Nate found a beautiful spot with a view of the ocean and a lighthouse and he proposed! Saying "This seems like a good spot!" while he got down on one knee. Anna was excited and surprised, and she of course said "Yes!"
