Like many modern love stories, ours began with a swipe on OkCupid back in 2018. With a match score of nearly 100% we decided to trust the algorithm (and fate) enough to meet in person. Our first date? A Raptors basketball game — where the sparks started flying (even if Clarisse was fashionably late!) Our second date took us to a cozy board game café. Jeremy, ever the gentleman, may have let Clarisse win at Connect 4 (something she still claims was the moment she knew he was a keeper). From there, our relationship blossomed with laughter, shared dreams, and countless adventures: from exploring hidden gems across the GTA to travelling the world together. In 2020, we took a big step and moved in together during the pandemic. Life slowed down, but our bond only grew stronger. Our relationship has been built on a foundation of love, trust, and unwavering commitment at the core. Whether we are chasing sunrises on a tropical beach or discovering a new park in Scarborough, what matters most is that we are doing it side by side. Then came the moment that changed everything: at sunrise on January 26, 2025, on the sandy shores of Riviera Maya, Jeremy got down on one knee and asked Clarisse to marry him. With some fits of laughter she certainly gave a heartfelt “Yes!”—and the next chapter officially began. The Riviera Maya now holds a special place in our hearts, which is why we couldn’t imagine a better place to say “I do” than on the same coastline where we got engaged. With hearts full of love, we warmly invite our cherished family and friends to celebrate this beautiful journey with us at our symbolic wedding on January 31, 2026—surrounded by sunshine, laughter, tacos, tequila, and dancing under the open sky.
