As with all great love stories, ours started with a mutual love of games and not paying attending in class (sorry parents). Though we were on the same freshman hall, Matt spent his time split between baseball and video games, meanwhile Clare focused primarily on her studies and numerous volunteer activities. Yes, that last part is totally, 100% true. No need to fact check. From there, we had a few classes together, and every time we would invariably start playing Facebook Family Feud again. We were THAT cool. Little known fact about Steve Harvey is that he is well respected amongst family and friends as a talented matchmaker. Again, this is for sure 100% accurate, no need to fact check. In the first semester of senior year we took Intermediate Microeconomics together, and paid almost no attention to the class because we were too busy playing FFF (again, sorry parents). While this was very beneficial to our budding romance, it was less beneficial for our grades. As such, about two weeks before the midterm we decided it was maybe, possibly, potentially time to crack open the books and put batteries in our TI-84s. Then, in a time-honored college tradition, we crammed and flirted and then crammed some more. And it worked! We won't tell you who got the better grade, but it was decided celebratory drinks were in order. So we went and got $1 coronas at The College Delly (those were the days) and talked and hung out all night, and, as they say, the rest is history. Six years and some change later, we still love adult beverages and games (ask about our engagement story!) and the flirting and talking and laughing still hasn't stopped, and we hope it never will. So, as with most epic romances, I guess you could say this marriage is brought to you by cheap beer, Steve Harvey, and Intermediate Microeconomics. Cheers Everyone! Matt & Clare
