Bridget is my younger sister. We grew up together and have a friendship and sisterhood I'm so grateful for. I'm so happy to have a built in best friend in my sister. She's very patient with me when I push her buttons and I've loved growing into young women together. Bridget es mi hermana menor. Nos criamos juntas y tenemos una amistad y hermandad de la que estoy muy agradecida. Estoy muy contenta de tener una mejor amiga en mi hermana. Ella es muy paciente conmigo cuando la molesto y estoy muy feliz de crecer como mujer joven junto a ella.

Kathy is my older sister-a gift for which I am so grateful. It has been so awesome to have someone who is older and has wisdom, but went through it recently enough that I value her opinion a lot. She gave me the gift of being an aunt and is one of the most merciful people I know-something I really admire about her. Kathy es mi hermana mayor-un regalo por el cual estoy muy agradecida. Ha sido increible tener una hermana mayor y sabia, pero que también ha vivido eventos similares recientemente, por lo que valoro muchísimo su opinión. Anastasia is my beautiful, smart, talented and kind niece. She is growing into a wonderful young woman. I was grateful when Kathy (her mom and matron of honor) moved home so that we could see and be a part of Anastasia and her brothers growing up. Anastasia has a fun and quirky sense of humor and when we get to talk one on one I see she's growing in maturity and wisdom. Anastasia es mi sobrina bonita, inteligente, talentosa y amable. Ella está creciendo en una mujer impresionante. Estoy muy agradecida de que Kathy (su mamá y la matrona de honor) regresó a vivir a Indiana para que pudiéramos ser parte de la vida de Anastasia y sus hermanos. Anastasia tiene un sentido de humor único y divertido, y cuando conversamos veo que se va convirtiendo en una persona madura y sabia.

Colleen is my oldest friend and we have the most shared history together! We met when we both needed a partner to saw a log at Camp Tecumseh in 4th grade and have since discovered we are third cousins, gone to Hope College together, studied abroad in Sevilla, Spain. I'm very grateful for our easy connection and loyal friendship. Colleen es mi amiga con la que tengo más años y hemos compartido mucha historia juntas! Nos conocimos cuando las dos necesitábamos una pareja cuando estábamos en el campo con la escuela en el cuarto grado. Desde entonces hemos descubierto que somos primas (de tercero grado), asistimos a Hope College juntas, y estudiamos en Sevilla, España. Agradezco su lealtad y la conexión que tenemos.

Lizzie is a friend I met at Hope through living in the same dorm and joining the same sorority. Lizzie and I challenge and encourage each other to grow in our faith, and I'm very grateful for that dynamic. I love that Lizzie is up for a dance party and trips to visit other friends but also is always open to going on walks, watching movies or just catching up. Lizzie es una amiga que conocí en Hope College, ya que compartimos el mismo dormitorio y fuimos miembras de la misma hermandad femenina. Las dos nos animamos para crecer en nuestra fe de lo cual estoy muy agradecida. Me encanta que Lizzie siempre tenga ganas de bailar y hacer viajes para visitar a amigas, pero al mismo tiempo puede estar contenta con dar una vuelta juntas, mirar una película o simplemente juntarnos a conversar.

Stephanie and I have been friends since elementary school! In high school Stephanie convinced me to become a runner. (I cried on my first five mile run with her, but she was very encouraging! haha!) We ran the Chicago Marathon together when Stephanie was again encouraging and wise in pacing us! Even though I've retired from running since then, I'm still grateful to have Stephanie's loyal friendship. Stephanie y yo nos conocimos en la escuela primaria. En la escuela secundaria Stephanie me convenció en convertirme en corredora (Lloré en la primera carrera de 5 millas, per ella me dio ánimo!). Corrimos juntas en el Maratón de Chicago donde Stephanie me animó y sirvió como nuestra entrenadora. Aunque ya no soy corredora, estoy muy agradecida de la fiel amistad de Stephanie.

Kelly and I became friends working as summer camp counselors in Munster. Kelly is a friend with whom I can comfortably be my quirky self. We have the type of friendship where we pick up where we left off even after periods without seeing each other. I feel Kelly's love and support as she always makes sure I know my worth and value whenever I'm struggling with something. This is a big gift! Kelly y yo nos conocimos trabajando juntas en un campamento de verano para los niños en Munster. Kelly es una amiga con quien me siento cómoda siendo tal como soy. Tenemos una amistad donde continuamos la última conversación incluso después de mucho tiempo sin vernos. Siento el amor y apoyo de Kelly porque siempre me recuerda mi valor cuando batallo con situaciones difíciles. Ellas es un regalo!

Krista and I met freshman year and bonded over a sarcastic and low key sense of humor. We participated in Hope's long standing tug of war tradition together, lived together and I (happily) got to be the third wheel when she and my friend Steve started dating. Vacations, weddings, and babies have come since and I'm so grateful for Krista's kind, wise and practical friendship. Krista y yo nos conocimos el primer año en la universidad y nos hicimos amigas gracias a nuestro sentido de humor sarcástico y relajado. Participamos en la tradición de mucho anos de tirar la cuerda de Hope College. Vivimos juntas y yo tocaba el violín cuando comenzó a pololear con mi amigo Steve. Desde entonces han venido vacaciones, bodas, y niños. Agradezco mucho la amistad amable, sabia y práctica de Krista.

Ray and his family welcome me like a son in the United States and I have learned a lot from them. I'm very grateful to Ray for his support during my studies and work. Thanks to him, I came to know the Schoenstatt movement which I am still a part of and which has helped me greatly in understanding the sacrament of marriage. Ray y su familia me recibieron como un hijo en Estados Unidos y he aprendido mucho de ellos. Le agradezco mucho a Ray su apoyo durante mis estudios y trabajo. Gracias a él conocí el movimiento Schoenstatt en el que sigo participando y que me ha ayudado mucho para entender el sacramento del Matrimonio.
