The Albuquerque Museum is dedicated to preserving the art of the American Southwest and the history of Albuquerque and the Middle Rio Grande Valley of New Mexico. The museum features art of the Southwest and its global influences, as well as 400 years of Albuquerque history with permanent installations and special exhibitions of national and international origin.
Local chain Flying Star has six locations in Albuquerque, each of which serve delicious food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They consistently win an annual "Best of the City" award for their amazing array of DESSERTS.
The UNM campus includes shady walkways, Pueblo Revival architecture, and a central(ish) duck pond. Mike and Clara both graduated from UNM, and Clara still works on campus.

Albuquerque's International Balloon Fiesta doesn't happen until October, but you can visit the Balloon Museum in any season to learn more about the history, science, and art of hot air and gas balloons.
