The dress code for the wedding is morning dress or formal! We've created a Pinterest board here (you need to copy-paste the link) : https://pin.it/2V2xQHNb1 Note that the cocktail hour will be taking place outside under cover, so a warm layer and flat shoes are recommended!
The dress code for the welcome drinks is smart casual (in American: semi-formal)! We have also made a Pinterest board so you can see what we mean: https://pin.it/2z9d4LfAC
Morning dress is traditionally what is worn to English weddings. It consists of either a tailcoat and trousers or a knee-length dress and hat or fascinator. Other formalwear, such as a jacket and tie, would also be appropriate. The ceremony will be taking place in a chapel that can get quite chilly at times, and cocktail hour will be under cover outside, so you may want to bring a shawl or cardigan if you are wearing a dress. The flagstones at Worcester can be a touch uneven, so we recommend flat shoes.
Absolutely not! While they are traditional to English weddings, you don't have to wear a hat if it's not your style. (Grooms are also traditionally present at weddings, so who cares?)
We both did.
We are very sorry, but we can only accommodate the people listed on your invitation. The chapel and dining facilities at Worcester are small and we are limited by how many people we can literally fit in the space. Thank you so much for your understanding.
Guests have the option to stay in College the night of the wedding. Facilities are basic but the price is right! The code is: CHWEDDING26. See our Travel section on the website for the link.
Since Clara has coeliac disease, all food at the wedding will be gluten free. Vegan, vegetarian, and heart-healthy options will also be provided. If you have any other food allergies please let us know when you RSVP!
Neither of us!
Yes! Please do take some flowers as a memento and to make sure they don't go to waste.
