6:00 pm - 6:30 pm
Garden Attire: Wear sundresses, floral prints, suits in lighter hues, think Kentucky Derby - but not quite that intense. See FAQ Page for examples of the vibe we're going for. Or just wear whatever you want!
The ceremony will be outdoors in a courtyard area under a large oak tree. There should be ample shade, and the sun will be low at this time of day in April, but it's still Southeast Louisiana, so make sure to check the temperature and dress accordingly.
6:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Cocktail "hour" will be immediately following the ceremony and include full access to the open bar and light appetizers while Clara & David wrap up taking pictures. Various board and card games will be available for groups to enjoy during this time, as well as the standard mingling and chatting between folks. The reception will begin with the introduction of the newly married couple and their first dance, followed by some special dances between the bride and groom and their loved ones. Dinner will be served buffet-style after the conclusion of the special dances, but folks can feel free to dance or eat in whichever order they want.
