The Ocean Course is an iconic public golf course! We suggest making reservations early, as tee times will go quickly for the weekend. Tee times can be booked via link below. Visit the Ryder Cup Bar (843-266-4085) to celebrate a great round on the course or the Atlantic Room (843-266-4085) for a meal during your stay.

Charleston is an amazing city to visit if you have a day, or evening to spare! For a great drink we suggest: The Dewberry Bar, The Cocktail Club, The Belmont, and The Watch Rooftop. For a delicious brunch/lunch we suggest: 1 Broad Street, 82 Queen, Prohibition, Butcher & Bee, 5 Church, Magnolias, or The Ordinary For a wonderful dinner we suggest: Husk, Rappahannock Oyster Bar, The Obstinate Daughter, Hall's Chophouse, Felix, and The Ordinary. For activities we suggest: Rainbow Row, Charleston City Market, Waterfront Park, King Street (shopping), McLeod Plantation, Middleton Place, Fort Sumter, Walking Tours, Drayton Hall, Charleston Tea Plantation.

Visit Freshfields Village for great restaurants, wine bars, groceries (Harris Teeter), nail salons, and shopping! Our go-to wine bar is FortyEight Wine Bar and Kitchen (843) 768-2245 For coffee and breakfast, Java Java is a must! (843) 243-0222 We also enjoy sushi from Fuji Sushi Bar & Grill (843) 996-4898 and Italian from La Tela (843)-768-1951. Freshfields website has a detailed list of all restaurants, shops, and salons. In addition, its located walking distance from the Andell Inn.

The Sanctuary at the Kiawah Island Resort is known for its golfing but there so many other things to offer! Including tennis courts, spa, gourmet restaurants, shopping, pools, beach access, bike trails, kayaking, and guided tours of the island. Some of these activities are open to hotel guests only. We love to go to the hotel Lobby Bar for their fantastic cocktails and light bites. In addition, there are three restaurant options at The Sanctuary (The Jasmine Porch, The Ocean Room, Loggerhead Grill).

As you are coming on and off the island, you may notice a gas station by the front gate. Past the Exxon, and down Beachwalker Drive you will find the entrance to the public beach! Snacks, drinks, and other beach necessities available for sale at the Exxon. You can also rent beach chairs and umbrellas through Island Beach Services (https://islandbeachservices.com/). They will take your information and drop off the requested number of chairs or umbrellas at your specified location!

Cougar Point is a fantastic public course on the island, with a brand new renovated clubhouse! The Players' Pub is a great place for a casual lunch or dinner - can be booked online or over the phone (843-768-2771)

A fantastic public golf course on the island! Tee times can be booked online. Tomasso at Turtle Point is another dining option, reservations may be booked online or over the phone – (843) 266-4070.

There are several great restaurants situated between Kiawah and Charleston. Check out Kinfolk for great fried chicken, The Royal Turn for casual dinner, or Blackbird Market for some southern takeout/prepared foods.
