Yes! We have organized a shuttle to and from the venue from the Embassy Suites Walnut Creek. Please plan to use this as the venue is a little hard to get to- it involves a meandering route through hilly neighborhoods and a small stretch of one lane road.
The shuttle can fit 50 people. We anticipate slightly more than 50 to use the shuttle to get to the venue. 2 TOWARDS 2:45 sharp: Take this shuttle if you want to guarantee yourself a seat and do some extra socializing, lemonade drinking, and chilling at the beautiful venue before the wedding. 3:30: Take this shuttle if you prefer showing up right on time, like to maximize your getting-ready time, and don't mind risking a full bus. 3 AWAY 7:30: Early bird shuttle leaves right after cake cutting 8:30 9:30: Transportation for those who want to dance the entire night
No. We considered setting this up but it seemed like too much fuss for both guests and for us. We are confident enough people will choose the early bus or their own transportation that there won't be a problem. Yay simplicity.
Yes! We hope every guest will be able to attend our welcome party. It is a casual party at a park and is an excellent opportunity to get a little more quality time with the other guests.
Bring a mask for the 20 minute shuttle ride. Aside from the enclosed shuttle ride, all of the events are fully outdoors. We are reasonably sure that every guest is vaccinated by now as well. Plan to wear a mask at certain times at the reception as well.
Our venue is outdoors but it is bricked/paved and will be equipped with space heaters. You can wear stilettos and sleeveless dresses if you wish to do so just like you could at an indoor venue.
Yes. There are loads of drivers in the Bay Area. However, the venue itself is in the hills and is relatively remote from where the drivers tend to hang out and we are told that unscheduled rides away usually have around a 30 minute wait for pickup.
Yes. If you choose to drive yourself to the venue there is parking on-site.
Yes, your children are welcome if you want to bring them but we have not organized for child care of any kind.
No. We inquired about getting one but it didn't seem right for any party for a number of reasons. However, we do still highly recommend booking the Embassy Suites in Walnut Creek because we are organizing the shuttle to pick up and drop off from this location.
SFO- 1 hour by car or BART (note that the Embassy Suites is practically on top of the Pleasant Hill/Contra Costa Centre BART stop) Oakland/OAK- 45 min by car or BART San Jose/SJC- 1.5 hours by car Sacramento/SMF- 1.5 hours by car
Wine-tasting: Within 45 minutes from Downtown Walnut Creek you can reach either the very well-known Napa Valley or lesser-known, but in our opinion superior, Livermore Valley wine countries. Hiking: Mt. Diablo and the surrounding peaks are spectacular. Redwoods can be seen in Tilden and Reinhardt Redwood Regional Parks. Nearby cities include Berkeley, Oakland, and San Francisco.
