Smith Rock State Park in Central Oregon is famous for its dramatic cliffs of volcanic tuff and basalt, making it a world-renowned destination for rock climbing, hiking, and viewing wildlife like golden eagles. The park features numerous trails for all skill levels, a river for fishing, and camping (seasonal, tent-only). Key attractions include the iconic Monkey Face rock formation and the challenging Misery Ridge Trail, with the Crooked River flowing through the canyon below.
