In any season, this is one of our favorite places to go. It has an amazing variety of animals, and it's totally free!
An early date location, this is also where Phil proposed to Claire. We both think the bridge on your way to the Thai Pavilion is pretty magical.
Take a free tour any day of the week! Tours are limited in size while COVID-19 restrictions are in place, so consider reserving a space in advance.
U Rah Rah! The University of Wisconsin Memorial Union Terrace is one of the most iconic spots on the UW campus, if not in all of Madison. Enjoy a beer and brat (or burger, or veggie burger) while watching sailboats cross lake Mendota or the setting sun over Picnic Point. The Union itself is worth a visit as well, a beautiful historic building at the center of campus, where Claire went for undergrad and Phil went to grad school.
Looking for a pint? This place has some of the best in town. Claire + Phil went on a date here on their opening day, and we've been regulars ever since.
Look no further for amazing craft cocktails. Bonus: It's just a couple blocks from our venue and its renovation work was done by the same company.
If you're looking for some time outdoors, this natural area is still close to downtown.
A recent favorite hangout of ours in scenic Waunakee.
One of Madison's newest and best craft breweries, Young Blood features a streetside patio just steps from the Capitol building, as well as some of the most creative/unexpected beer names you're likely to find (see if "I'm A Peacock, Let Me Fly" or "Murder Hornet is My Safe Word" is on tap!).
