If you plan to fly, we recommend Spokane International Airport (GEG). This small yet convenient airport is a 1.5 hour drive to the city of Sandpoint, ID and then another 25 minutes up to Schweitzer Mountain.

Turo

If you need to rent a car, we highly recommend using Turo. Think of it like the VRBO of cars! You will be renting a car direct from the car owner. You can rendezvous with the owner at a pickup location or request that the car be delivered to you directly. Turo offers more affordable rates that commercial rental car companies and provides many more options for types of vehicles!

You can now book a room from 6/16-6/19 with our discounted rate* We encourage our guests to stay in Schweitzer Village if possible as this allows accommodations to be within walking distance of the Wedding Ceremony and Reception. We have hotel blocks reserved in Selkirk Lodge and White Pine Lodge, and a 20% lodging discount will be applied for all wedding guests... Whoop whoop! The hotel blocks are for set up from Thursday, June 16th through Sunday, June 19th. If you would like to extend your stay, just call the office and they will work with you! Humbird Hotel

Also located on Schweitzer Mountain, and within walking distance to the Wedding Ceremony and Reception, is the brand-new Humbird! This luxury, boutique hotel will be completed in January 2022 and offers modern and elegant accommodations. While we have a hotel block reserved in the Humbird, there is no lodging discount available for wedding guests. To book this option, please call the Schweitzer lodging team at (208) 265-0257. Be sure to mention that you will be with the Werlin Buckmiller Wedding so they can add you to our reserved block.

Outdoors Inn

If you would rather not stay on the mountain, The Outdoors Inn offers beautiful, rustic-modern motel rooms! Located in Ponderay, Idaho (a neighboring town to Sandpoint), this lodging option is 22 minutes away from Schweitzer and is another great option.

Best Western Edgewater Resort

If you prefer to stay in town, here is a wonderful choice for you. Located right on the beautiful Lake Pend Oreille, this hotel offers incredible lake views and is within walking distance to Sandpoint's sweet downtown where you can enjoy lovely restaurants and unique shops. This hotel is about a 25 minute drive to Schweitzer Mountain.

Schweitzer Homes, Condos and Townhouses

Off-site homes, condos and townhouses are also available to book through Schweitzer Reservations. Inventory of these options become available after May, and before then you will be placed on a waitlist. These lodging options are ideal for large families, or multiple families who wish to stay together. Travel Note

No Public Transportation

When considering your lodging options, please note that there are no Ubers, Lyfts, cabs, or public transportation available at Schweitzer or in the Sandpoint area. I wish there were, but in such a small, mountain town these "luxuries" are hard to come by. We care about you deeply, and if you plan to party with us, please make sure plan a safe ride home afterward or decide to stay on the mountain. Thank you!
