Adam and McLaine were born and raised in the same town and were inseparable as young boys. Though they were separated when McLaines family moved away, they kept in touch and reunited when they both moved to Denver after college.

Katelyn and Claire were brought together through the sisterhood of Alpha Chi Omega early in Katelyn’s freshman year. She was frightened by Claire’s driving skills, but decided the friendship was worth the risk. Katelyn and Claire lived together in Denver for 3 years, and much to their partners' relief, have only grown closer while living separately.

Doug and McLaine met while working at GE Johnson when McLaine then hastily moved in together and bonded over snowboarding and being bachelors in Denver.

Megan and Claire became close friends when they found themselves a bit slower than their more athletic friends in cross country during their freshman year of high school at Shawnee Mission East. They somehow grew even closer when Claire moved out to Denver thanks to Megan and her husband’s consistent trips to Colorado to camp, hike and ski.

Kyle and McLaine have been causing trouble for the Whalen family since the two cousins could walk. Whether it be hunting trips or family holidays, if these two were together, there was lots of laughter and mischief.

Carolina and Claire became friends thanks to Carolina offering to carpool from KC to Leavenworth every day for their first summer of physical therapy school. Thank goodness Claire had no sense of stranger danger! Or at least will overlook it for a ride in a cozy Lexus instead of her old Chevy Malibu.
