You leave Antigua early in the morning and head to the Western Highlands of Guatemala (approx 2.5 hours). Lake Atitlan was created as the result of a volcanic implosion some 84,000 years ago. Then you will climb up to the so called “Indian nose” a small hill overlooking Lake Atitlan with spectacular views of the volcanoes and the nearby villages.
