Matron of Honor
It was love at first sight really....I met Tab through sorority recruitment in 2011 and we quickly bonded over Auburn football and our favorite one liners from Friends --and now, "she's my lobster!" Tabitha is seriously the most genuine and compassionate person that I know. Countless times she has ministered to my heart, been the voice of reason, shown extraordinary thoughtfulness, and been my home away from home. She's one of a kind.

Donnie and I met early on in high school. We both went out for the cross country team half heartedly. (Our friendship later led us to be passionate runners and collegiate teammates.) After training together day in and day out, we grew to be as close as brothers. We lived together, ran together, and conversed deeply in the foreign language known as “sports”. Just over a decade later I still consider Donnie to be one of the most trustworthy and caring friends I’ll ever have.

Have you ever been around a new person and just instantly thought, "Oh yea, we're going to get along juuuuuuust fine..." Well, that happened the first day of OT school when I met this gem. Mack is unapologetically herself all the time and that means she radiates joy, charisma, love, and a sincere zeal for life. I've never felt so loved and accepted by someone who's witnessed my unfiltered, fully committed, and clearly untrained car karaoke sing alongs.

Conner is actually one of my newest friends, but it sure doesn’t feel that way! We first met on a vacation where Jacque took me to the South to visit her old stomping grounds and meet all her close friends. I think Conner and I spent a total of six hours together that week. Yet, by the end of trip, we’re looking like we’re gonna go the distance in our friendship. Conner is the life of the party anywhere he goes and is always ready to crack open a cold snack with the boys.

Fun fact about Amberly... I want to be just like her when I grow up! No really, she is an incredible mother and wife, she serves the Lord, she saves lives (lets not breeze past that, she legitimately saves life every single day as a paramedic), and she gives herself whole heartedly to anything she does. When I met Amberly in 2010, I was thousands of miles away from home, trying to find my niche, and I found her (except now I see it more as a divine appointment). She's the kind of friend that just makes friendship effortless.

If you offered me a million dollars to go out and find a more interesting brother in law, I would come up short every time. Kale represents himself in a way that makes you think, never have I ever met a guy so comfortable being exactly who he is. A few fun facts about Kale: He comes from a family of farmers, knows how to work on all kinds of machinery, but is also a compassionately gifted nurse. He once bought a street bike off of craigslist, and two weeks later, also bought a shih tzu puppy off of craigslist (his name is Phil!) He is a God fearing Christian, but he also prefers listening to metal music to soothe him. Again, I don’t think you could find another Kale.

Here's a cool thing you should know about me and Megan... We've been answering the phone saying "hellawwwwww" to each other every single time, without fail, for about 10 years now. Why? Because when you're talking to Megan, you're just automatically that happy. It's her special gift. This girl has been a small town friend of mine since we were in grade school and the beauty of our friendship is that we never lost the element of "fun." I'd bet that she could probably make those British guards with the fluffy hats smirk without trying too hard. She's my go-to gal for genuine love and laughter.

Jake, along with Donnie, is another brother I met in high school. Over the years we have remained as tight as hipster denim. Jake is the type of person to engage you with questions that really challenge what you think about the world. We have easily racked up hundreds of hours of heated debates during road trips. Yet, whether we agree or disagree on a topic, at the end of the day we don’t think any less of the other. In fact, at times, it seems like it’s the opposite.

If I had a sister, I imagine our relationship would be a lot like this one. Alexa has been such an amazing confidant, support, and encourager to me since our paths were brought back together after college. Those formative years were pivotal in establishing each of us in our values and beliefs, which became the common foundation of our friendship. She's the sister that shares each of your sorrows and joys as if they were her own, which means that three hour phone conversations are not uncommon. She's also really good at telling jokes. Don't tell her I said that.
