Nina and CJ met in 2005 at Hava Java, a local coffee shop. Nina's brothers would frequent the coffee shop and once Nina realized the barista was quite the looker, she couldn't stay away. She would hang out and pretend to like coffee just so she could have CJ make her a vanilla latte and daydream while he was doing his crossword puzzles. As soon as Nina turned 18, CJ, with the help of one of his sister, made a special birthday booklet asking Nina on their first date. (Nina still has the booklet). They went out a few times, but the timing in life just wasn't right. Eventually Nina left for college, but they didn't forget about one another. When Nina moved home in July of 2010 she met up with a friend at the Liberty Street Tavern. There was CJ, looking handsome as ever, standing by the pool table with a beer in hand. Nina looked at her friend and said "Oh gosh, that's CJ, I kinda dated him awhile ago. He's so cute." Nina proceeded to pretend she didn't notice CJ until she was on her way out. Her heart fluttered as she walked towards him. CJ asked Nina to hang out one night to catch up... and the rest is history!
CJ took Nina for an overnight stay at the Logan Inn in New Hope, PA. After a day of exploring, the two of them enjoyed a lovely dinner and a short walk along the river. While looking out over the river CJ asked Nina if she'd like a picture, to which Nina replied, "Of us? It's dark out and you hate pictures!" As Nina was saying this, she thought "Oh gosh...this could be the moment..." Nina fumbled to take out her phone, but CJ already had his camera ready and he said "Oh wait... can you hold this?" Nina looked down and he was holding a ring. She held it in his hand for a few seconds to stare at its beauty and said "WELL! Are you going to ask me!?" CJ replied "You wanna get married?" Nina likely said "yes," but that moment was a blur. It was perfect.
