Location and Getting Around

The ceremony will take place in the Shady Acres area. We suggest finding lodging "inside the loop" in the following neighborhoods - The Heights, Washington Avenue, or Montrose. Houston is a car-dependent city and navigating the (very minimal) public transportation system can be intimidating. Renting a car or using a ride share program may be the best option. Bike rentals are available at our favorite bike shop, EaDo Bike Co.

If you'd like to stay more central, we have a block of 10 rooms at the Courtyard Houston Heights/I-10. George Bush Intercontinental Airport

IAH is the largest and busiest airport in Houston as it accommodates both international and domestic travelers. It's a 25-45 minute drive from Houston.

Hobby Airport

HOU is the smaller of the two Houston airports. It's a hub for all Southwest flights. It's a 15-25 minute drive from downtown. We prefer this airport because it's no frills, easy to get into/out of your destination.
