Please RSVP "yes" or "no" by February 1, 2025, through the link found on your invitation. Formal invitations will be sent by December 2024.
We want to be surrounded by our close friends and family and won't be able to accommodate additional guests. Please refer to your RSVP for who is included in your invite.
Due to the indoor space, we kindly ask that only children of close family and friends traveling from out of state join us for the day. We appreciate your understanding!
Our wedding will be held outdoors in a beautiful park, and we’re going for a laid-back picnic vibe. We’ll kick things off with a casual social event before the ceremony, giving us all a chance to catch up, enjoy some refreshments, and settle into the day together. Our goal is to create a warm, inviting space where everyone feels at ease and can fully savor the moment with us. No formalities—just a celebration of love and the wonderful people who have supported us along the way.
Houston weather in March should be mild where we'll be able to enjoy the picnic outdoors and the ceremony indoors.
We invite our guests to dress in a garden party casual dress code. We want you to be comfortable and festive. Bright colors, pastels, and patterns are encouraged, with ties and jackets being optional. The look is elegant yet relaxed, ideal for a celebration.
Of course. So far we have friends who are vegetarian, vegan, and with nut allergies. We will have food options to cover all those bases. If you have other dietary restrictions, please let us know!
We'll provide a beer, wine, champagne/prosecco and a signature drink. Friendly reminder that food and drinks will be before the ceremony though, so take caution :)
Parking is available on-site. There is a paved lot for 30 cars, street parking on W. 26th Street, and parking in the neighborhood. There is plenty of bike parking too.
James Turrell is a well-regarded modern artist who is known for his work with light and space. Julianne has admired his work since her first visit to the MFAH when she walked through Turrell's "The Light Inside" underground tunnel. The Skyspace at the Quaker House is one of two Turrell skyspaces in Houston. It's a serene and meditative space and we hope our guests can admire its beauty.
