Waterloo Village, itself, is an authentic 19th century village that developed on the banks of the historic Morris Canal. This site provides beautiful walking trails, opportunities to learn about early pioneer family farms in Northern New Jersey, and various other recreational activities.
Just a short drive away, Mount Tammany (~3mi round trip hike) offers beautiful views of the Delaware River. There is a 1201 feet elevation change going up and down the mountain. Generally, this is considered a challenging trail with an average completion time of 2 hours 20 minutes.
