This is a classic spot for Friday or Saturday nights. In the famous Calle San Sebastian you can find great bars like La Taberna Lupulo, a bar with a large selection of local craft beers, and the renowned bar, La Factoría, where you will encounter live salsa music and local dj’s. This bar was featured as one of the World’s Top 50 bars by Forbes and is the setting for Luis Fonsi's "Despacito"! You can also venture to the Calle Tanca for music and drinks or go to one of the many rooftop bars in the area. A MUST VISIT is MARMALADE! At the helm of Marmalade is Chef Peter Schintler, an Iowa native who gained recognition in Singapore where he was nominated as Asia’s rising star Chef of the Year in 2003, as well as, Hotel Magazine and Villeroy & Boch naming his restaurant Blu, as one of the top ten best restaurants in the world that same year.
Entering the gates of Castillo San Felipe del Morro is like walking 5 centuries into the past, where you can get immersed in the intriguing history of one of the most significant places in the Western Hemisphere. El Morro became the most successful defensive position in the New World. It was never defeated by sea, and it only fell once when taken by land in 1598. El Morro is definitely an attraction in Old San Juan that you need to check out!
Santurce’s famous market is the best place to get a sense for the local nightlife scene. You can find various restaurants, including the renowned Santaella and Jose Enrique, and small kiosk type bars that offer drinks with fresh squeezed juices and delicious fried food. Find El Coco de Luis right outside the market for the best chicharrones de pollo and De La Vida for the best crowd. It’s especially good on Friday. A MUST VISIT is SANTAELLA! Famous for its vibrant nightlife and unforgettable food, Santaella is one of Puerto Rico’s best restaurants. Chef Jose Santaella combines modern flavors with traditional Puerto Rican cooking to create a cuisine of his own. Visit this restaurant and spend the rest of the night bar hoping through La Placita de Santurce.

Stop in Pińones and stop at whichever kiosk you like and order some great authentic local street food. The smells here are incredible. Between the smells of the food, the ocean breezes and salty air and the whole general ambiance – you cannot but help to feel great as you begin your day.
Looking for a lit adventure? ... Literally....There are only five ecosystems in the world where the concentration of these planktons is high enough to be considered bioluminescent bays, and Puerto Rico is home to three of them. Recognized in 2006 by the Guinness World Records as the brightest bio bay in the world, Mosquito Bay in Vieques captivates with its beauty and pristine setting. It's definitely a great experience!
One of our favorite activities is adventuring out to one of Puerto Rico's beautiful Islands off the mainland for the day! There are a number of ways to get to the surrounding Islands, such as by ferry as well as flying, but we recommend booking a Catamaran trip out to Culebra, Icacos or Vieques.
