Anthony and I had originally met in high school in our hometown and to be exact, it was right in front of my father’s classroom. While I was a freshman and he was a junior our paths never crossed until the day he got my dad as a teacher. During one of the day’s I was out in the hallway, my dad thought it would be funny to make me, a shy individual, say hello to one of his older students who had always been kind and greeted him with a smile, and of course this just so happened to be Anthony. But where our story truly begins is in the beginning of the pandemic in 2020. We had both been sent home from our universities due to their shut down so we could finish our degrees online. As I vividly remember 2020 was driven by social media and it was filled by what people were doing to pass their time, and all because of a little luck we ended up getting reconnected due to something I had posted. Our first date was at Ohiopyle State Park, due to the fact that everything was shut down and we had both seemingly convinced one another that we loved hiking and it was our favorite thing to do on a random afternoon. To this day we will let you know that was a huge lie and the only reason why we said that was because of the uncertainty of restaurants or places being opened. We would have done just about anything to go on one date, even if that meant slipping on rocks and walking in mud because it had poured down rain the night before. Three years later and the rest is history, soon enough we will be standing in front of everyone we love getting ready to say “I Do”.
