We first met during our very first week of college and quickly became friends. We spent the next couple of years as "just" friends, neither of us really sure where we were going. Fast forward to senior year, after having lived together for the past two years we were now separate again and we realized that being apart from each other sucked. We started dating that year and have been together ever since

Fall activities are some of our favorites. One date that stands out was a year we didn't have much time to do all the things we normally plan for the fall. We ended up going apple picking, wine tasting, going to a pumpkin patch, doing a corn maze, and carving pumpkins all at once.

Matt invited both our families on a joint trip to Japan. On one of our nights in Tokyo we split off from the group and went to dinner at a Michelin star restaurant. We had our own private room and preset courses, some of which were a bit too much for him. After trying the shirasu (tiny dried fish), he tried to make it seem like he ate more by spreading out the rest, only for the server to bring the plate back and point out all the ones he had "missed". After great food, and a lot of laughs, we headed to a bar in Mori Tower with a beautiful view of the city. And that’s where Matt proposed! I of course said yes, to the applause and cheers from everyone else in the bar. After things settled down, we realized we both felt a bit awkward having been the center of attention in a room full of strangers and decided to make a quick exit, continuing the rest of our celebration with friends and family.
