We love your little ones, but due to occupancy limits at our venue, we’re keeping the celebration adults-only.

We’d love to accommodate everyone, but due to venue size and planning, we’re only able to invite those listed on the invitation.

What airport should we fly into?
Answer
The closest airport is McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS) in Knoxville, about a 30 minutes scenic from Townsend. See the “Travel” page for more info.

Are car rentals recommended?
Answer
Renting a car is the easiest way to get around since rideshares are limited in this area. Please see the “Travel” section for more info on car rentals.

What is the dress code?
Answer
The dress code for our wedding is semi formal. If you plan on hiking or discovering all Townsend has to offer, we recommend packing casual, comfortable layers (unless visiting Dancing Bear - feel free to dress up if you plan on stopping in!).

Will the ceremony/reception be indoors or outdoors?
Answer
The ceremony, cocktail hour, and dancing will be held outside, weather permitting. Dinner will be served inside. Please note, the ceremony portion of our celebration will be held on a grassy area.

What’s TN weather like in late March?
Answer
The weather in Townsend in late March is typically cool and pleasant, with average highs around 62°F and lows near 40°F. The weather in the mountains around this time can be very unpredictable, so we recommend dressing in layers - just in case. Don't worry - we'll have a fire going outside, lot's of dancing, and an open bar to keep you warm ;)

Will there be an open bar?
Answer
Yes! We’ll have a full open bar with beer, wine, and signature cocktails. Come ready to celebrate, but please drink responsibly! There will be a shuttle available for guests staying at Tremont Lodge.

What’s there to do in Townsend?
Answer
Townsend is right by the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, so it’s a beautiful spot for hiking, scenic drives, and exploring nature. Cades Cove is a must-see! Visit the “Things To Do” for our recommendations and favorite spots!
