Please RSVP to all wedding events by April 1st, 2022 using the RSVP tool on this website.
No, we opted for all digital invites. Check your email—both the Save The Date and the Invitation came through a service called Greenvelope. Either way, you can find all the same information on this website.
Friday's night Welcome Drinks is a "dressy" event. This means you dress up, but it's not full-on formal. Examples include, sundresses, casual cocktail dress, blouses, slacks, jumpsuits, skirts, heels, wedges, flats, button-downs, blazers, khakis, optional ties. The wedding is a "formal / cocktail" attire. Examples include formal dresses, jumpsuits, suits, ties or bow ties. In terms of shoes, the Reception will be on hardwood floor, but you may still want to wear something you're comfortable walking on grass / gravel in for the Ceremony.
Friday's Welcome Drinks will be in downtown Portland at the Press Hotel Autograph Collection. Saturday's events will take place at The Barn on Walnut Hill, a charming 1887 farmhouse in North Yarmouth, just outside of downtown. Weather permitting, our wedding will be an indoor / outdoor event. The Ceremony will take place outside on the property, followed by Cocktail Hour in a partially tented space. The Reception will take place inside a 19th-century barn on the property.
For those staying in downtown Portland, pretty much any hotel you stay in around the area will either be a short walk or Uber ride from the Press Hotel. For those driving to Welcome Drinks, the Press Hotel will have valet parking or you can find a metered space close by. For the Wedding Ceremony and Reception, complimentary shuttles will be provided from PORTLAND LOBSTER COMPANY in downtown Portland to the venue—you can RSVP on this website for it. For those driving, complimentary parking will be available at the venue. It will also be no charge to you if you drive in and choose to leave your car overnight on the property. Just grab it in the morning.
The end of May is normally lovely during the day (~70+ degrees) and cooler at night (~50 degrees), so bring transitional clothing.
Yep!
You will be missed! If you can't make it to the wedding, we kindly ask that you please let us know as soon as possible by RSVP-ing “no,” so we can plan ahead.
