Though we know this is a big ask for friends and family, Monterosso is our favorite place in the world! We can't wait to share this magical place with each and every one of you. With that said, we do not expect anyone to make the long (and expensive) trip if they are unable or unwilling to. We will be having a celebration in the NY/NJ area Summer of 2027 to celebrate with those who cannot come.
No worries! We are appreciative that you are thinking so far ahead. Due to the intimate nature of the wedding and the size of the venue, we are unable to extend invitations to some friends who we would love to celebrate with. As such, if you cannot make it, please let us know when you have made your decision, so we can extend invites to others. We won't be upset or offended! We would love to have you at the small, stateside celebration this summer.
We recommend the following options: 1: Longer travel day, direct to Monterosso Red-eye flight from the US on Wednesday or Thursday to Milano Airport train to Milano Centrale (approx. 45 mins) Train from Milano Centrale to Monterosso Al Mare (approx 3 hrs) 2: Flight from US to Genoa (with connection- longer flight but less travel within Italy) Train (or car service) from Genoa to Monterosso 3: Wednesday Flight from US to Milan Train from the airport to Milano Centrale Thursday Overnight stay in Milan upon arrival/explore Friday AM train to Cinque Terre We've done both options through Milan so happy to answer any questions on that!
The answer to that is maybe? Obviously, if your significant other's name is printed on the invites, we would love to have you both! For our other friends/family members who are single, as we mentioned, the venue is extremely limited in who we can invite. We would love to extend an invitation to plus ones, but cannot do so until our extended guest list has been exhausted. Sorry about that :(
We will be passing along a list of recommendations of places to stay and update this shortly. But for those looking to solidify somewhere quickly, we previously stayed at the Hotel Porta Roca (really nice and amazing breakfast but pricey), Hotel Baia (affordable beachfront option with breakfast and "reserved" beach chairs you can rent for a fee), as well as airbnbs which were amazing! Anywhere in Monterosso town is a good location, but be sure to check for air conditioning. We will have a hotel block for those interested, with pricing and options to come soon.
Think elevated garden party. Dressy but fun colors and florals are encouraged. Block heels for women are encouraged. It will be outside (unless there's bad weather) and on the warmer side so dress accordingly.
