We're getting married!

Kelsey was working at a local nonprofit in Fort Wayne called Turnstone. Around the same time, Steven happened to be hosting the Fort Wayne Mad Ants basketball tryouts in the fieldhouse at Turnstone. During her lunch breaks, Kelsey often walked or jogged on the indoor track that bordered the basketball courts. One afternoon, while on her usual route, she noticed a tall, good-looking guy working out with the players on the court. Instantly intrigued, Kelsey watched for a moment but, being a bit shy, didn’t approach him. Instead, she went about the rest of her day, secretly hoping she might see him again during the tryouts. That very evening, fate stepped in. Kelsey went out to a local bar for a friend’s birthday celebration—and to her surprise, there was Steven, hanging out with friends. Recognizing her, Steven approached and asked if she worked at Turnstone. He then invited her to play a simple bar game: if she could flip a coaster and successfully catch it Pacman style, he’d cover the tab for her entire group. Somehow, Kelsey pulled it off—earning free drinks for the group and sparking a fun, easygoing connection between them. Before the night ended, they exchanged numbers and made plans to hang out. When Steven reached out to Kelsey for their first date, he kept the plans vague. All he told her was to pack an extra change of clothes, a bathing suit, and sandals. He didn’t reveal where they were going. Once they got in the car and started driving, Kelsey texted her mom that they were headed east on Route 24—but she had no idea where they were actually going. After nearly two hours on the road, with her mom trying not to panic, Steven finally pulled into their surprise destination: Kalahari Water Park. Kelsey was thrilled! She truly appreciated the thought Steven had put into planning such a fun and unexpected day date. While at the park, they relaxed by the pool, enjoyed snacks and drinks at the bar, and Kelsey swam with kids in the wading pool when Steven fell asleep in a beach chair for over two hours. Ha! That first date turned out to be the beginning of many more adventures—and the rest, as they say, is history.
