Close Friend of the Groom. Met Darius in the 3rd Grade at a Track meet. Looked at each other up and down like it was tension, and then ended up talking for the rest of the day and found out they were exactly the same. Both Shared a burning passion to be the best they could be in their sports, and both have crazy Dads with most supportive mothers. From the day they met, they trained together, laughed together, cried together, and being there for each other for every monumental and small moment in each others life.

Friend of the bride and groom and Chumani’s teammate at Barton College, Cierra somehow runs on zero sleep and pure determination. Now a graduate student at NC State studying Architecture, she designs big dreams (probably at 2 a.m.), and her steady presence and constant encouragement have been a true blessing, continually challenging the bride to grow and become the best woman she can be.

Close Friend of the Groom. Met the Groom on the camp circuit for Football in HighSchool. The groom thought he had so many offers and ended seeing him on the same visit to Barton he was on and the Groom thought Barton had no chance of getting him. They both ended up committing to Barton, had a 5hr+ conversation the first night they moved in about life and from then on ended up become the closet of friends.

Friend of the bride and groom and Chumani’s teammate at Barton College, Ashley brings both strength and heart wherever she goes. A self-proclaimed foodie, she’s currently a graduate student at ECU studying Exercise Science. Chumani and Ashley's friendship deepens when they both led at FCA together. Their sister-like relationship has always brought so much laughter and love into each of their lives!

Close friend of the Groom. Met at Barton and bonded through putting in extra work outside of scheduled football practice times. Anytime the Groom wanted to train, he knew Dee was only a call away. Spent countless hours working out, and having real life conversations from Freshmen year of college to Present Day.

Friend of the bride and groom, Josie met Chumani sophomore year through FCA at Barton College. She’s the ultimate hype woman and quite possibly the funniest person we know. She is full of joy and the love of Jesus shines in every moment you are with Josie.

Close Friend of the Groom. And friend of Bride. Met During the last semester of the Grooms time at Barton. Instantly bonded when David came in as a freshmen because Both are from Winston-Salem,NC, but the Lord revealed to the Groom that he was tasked with pouring into David in a unique way. They become close by walking through similar difficulties of life with each other , and now are like Brothers.

Friend of the bride and groom, Megan met Chumani and Darius through church and quickly became family once she started dating Jaquan. Truly the angel we were all waiting for, she brings warmth, joy, and calm wherever she goes.

Close friend of the Groom, and Friend of Bride. Was Part of the same recruiting class to play football at Barton as the Groom. Played a pivotal of in the Grooms faith Journey, and noticed the spiritual gifts in him before the Groom did. Spent a lot of time pouring into the Groom, and now they’re pillars for each other in each others life to remain faithful to the call that’s been placed on each others life by the Lord.

Close friend of the Groom. Was in the same First Seminar Class as Groom and Dereck, and Groom and Dereck through he ran track but he introduced himself to the class and said he played football. The groom and Dereck looked at each other confused, from that Day on they all become close.

Close friend of the Groom. Met the groom At an FCA leadership camp where they both were serving as Huddle leaders at the Camp. Approached the Groom after he shared his testimony in front of the whole camp, and they sat outside on the steps and had a Holy Spirit led conversation that lasted for hours. The rest was history, and they become Brothers to each other, and lean on each other a lot for accountability and encouragement in their faith walks.
