Kern River Brewing Co
If you get the chance, drive up the Kern River Canyon and check out the fall foliage! Then you can stop at The Kern River Brewing Co. on your way back for some lunch and a beer. One of Ben and Hannah's favorite spots!
Luigi's Restaurant and Delicatessen
Luigi's has been a longtime Chudy-family-favorite! Tons of amazing Italian dishes and specials to choose from. There's a reason why there's always a line out the door! Don't forget to order a slice of butterfinger pie!
Dewar's Candy Shop
Dewar's has the best peppermint ice cream and taffy around. They have had shops in Bakersfield since 1909!
Wool Growers Restaurant
Wool Growers is a traditional Basque restaurant in downtown Bakersfield. It's a staple in the community and has a fun atmosphere! Make sure to try to some pickled tongue while you're there! It's pretty common to either start or end at Pyrenee's Cafe (another Basque favorite) if you're going to Wool Growers and really want to feel like a local. :)
Seven Oaks Country Club
If you're into golfing, Seven Oaks is a great spot to visit. They also have pickleball and tennis courts too!
