Best Man
From the moment Ben was born and Zach held his baby brother in his arms, Ben knew that Zach would always be there to look out for him. Ben considers his big brother to be a deep thinker, a superb listener, and an excellent conversationalist. Three of Ben’s favorite things about Zach are his loyalty and fierce loving nature, his open-mindedness and penchant for learning, and his boundless yearning for adventure and exploration. While it’s understandably hard to boil down a lifetime of memories between two brothers to just one favorite, Ben holds a special fondness in his heart for their Sandbro trips to places as varied and wondrous as Japan, Costa Rica, Panama, France, and Peru. Ben loves how goofy Zach and Chrisy are together, and he admires the couple for their shared interests, their ability to lift each other up at all times, and their habit of always seeing the best parts in one another. In the words of Ben himself: “Somos familia! Congrats you two!”
CORI
Maid of Honor
Cori and Chrisy met while competing in a pageant, surely bonding over their mutual beauty and talent. When Chrisy competed in the Miss Azusa pageant - taking place in the middle of nowhere - Cori went to Chrisy’s beauty pageant instead of a much more convenient one in LA, and their friendship was sealed as fate. Cori has taken Chrisy on many adventures out of the country, in the city, the forest, or back to the middle of nowhere. She loves Chrisy’s bravery, like when she did zip-lining for the first time despite “shaking like a little Chihuahua.” Cori and Chrisy bonded over their love of Disney, holidays, playing dress-up and crafting. Cori’s favorite thing about Chrisy is her excitement about the things she loves, such as Clay Aiken (and Zach of course!)
JASEN
Groomsman
While Jasen and Zach both once worked at the same company, they didn’t actually meet until a bowling networking event. When Zach left the event in rented shoes, he asked Jasen to help him return the “stolen” footwear–and the rest, as they say, is history. If Jasen could describe Zach in a single word, it would be “debonair.” Three of Jasen’s favorite things about Zach are that he always listens with his heart, leads with vision, and speaks with astute wit. Believe it or not, these friends once shot a film together at an overnight rave for three straight 12-hour nights. Despite these grueling conditions, Jasen recalls Zach always showing up with a smile on his face each day. He also admires the comfortable home that Zach and Chrisy have built together–so comfortable, in fact, that Jasen has fallen asleep on the couch there watching Grace and Frankie. Jasen congratulates the happy couple and their respective families, adding that he’s excited to party with everyone soon.
ANA
Bridesmaid
Ana and Chrisy met at ADP. Ana loves to brag that in just two years Chrisy has gotten multiple promotions and awards, in no small part due to Ana’s mentorship. Their friendship outside of work took off after Chrisy dragged Ana to a SoulCycle class, which has become one of the things they love to do together (because as Ana says, Chrisy’s energy is contagious). Chrisy’s feisty personality comes out in the multiple voice memos she likes to send, which Ana refers to as “the Chrisy Podcast.” While Chrisy misses Ana, she’s so proud of her new gig and is so pleased that their mentorship didn’t end when their time together at ADP did. Ana feels so lucky to have met Chrisy, and can’t wait to be there on her big day.
JESSE
Groomsman
On the steps of the Pepperdine London house, a large group of people once swarmed a young man sporting a pink hat and an infectious smile, almost as if he were a Beatle. That man, Jesse would come to realize, was Zach Sandberg. Though he still thinks Zach would make a great cult leader, Jesse also respects Zach’s ethics and the way he wields great power with great responsibility. Speaking of wielding, the next time you see him, ask Jesse about the time Zach wielded a cane in a scene they did together. According to Jesse, Zach is the type of guy who always shows up for you, who can make you laugh like none other, and who you can talk to for hours. Jesse was fortunate enough to know both Zach and Chrisy in college even though the lovebirds never ran in the same circles back then. He recalls fondly the time Zach asked him and his wife Lexie to pick out a gift for Chrisy: “I had never seen him so full of joy before.” It was then that Jesse knew Zach had found ‘the one.’
KARA
Bridesmaid
Kara met Chrisy when she was rushing the Alpha Phi sorority at Pepperdine. Kara says everyone fell in love with Chrisy and was begging her to give Chrisy a bid - which she did, duh! Chrisy and Kara bonded over their love of self-improvement and setting goals, and Chrisy even inspired Kara to compete in the Miss California pageant. They each ended up winning titles in the pageant and bonded over their love of being “extra.” Kara and Chrisy’s friendship has a very important third person - Beyonce. Kara considers Chrisy to be her fellow Chairman of the Board of the Beyhive. Much like Beyonce, Kara loves Chrisy’s attention to detail and commitment to creating a community. Chrisy is so proud of Kara for pursuing a PhD in music and is honored to have Dr. Kara Covey making the trip to Cabo. Kara has a special connection to this wedding - Zach was actually one of her first friends at Pepperdine! Although Zach and Chrisy never crossed paths at Pepp, Kara says, “I was thrilled when I found out that they met several years down the road. I cannot imagine a more perfect man for our Chrisy. <3”
KEVIN
Groomsman
Despite the fact that Zach once beat Kevin out for the same acting role at Pepperdine, Kevin considers this event a blessing in disguise for two reasons: one, he didn’t have to dance; and two, he got to befriend Zach. According to Kevin, Zach is the type of guy you can sit and talk to for hours without realizing any time has passed by. Kevin admires how Zach is a magnet for success while also being unafraid of failure. One of Kevin’s favorite qualities in Zach is his endless intrigue for life experiences and his thirst for adventure. Once upon a time, the two buddies spent over six hours together painstakingly hiking, swimming, rock-climbing, and sneaking around sunbathing sea lions on an epic coastal adventure. In the ensuing years, they would go on to walk all 26 miles of the Malibu shoreline on foot, puffing cigars and talking about nothing and everything all at once. Kevin appreciates how Zach and Chrisy are able to “challenge each other to grow and prosper in a loving way.”
ANDREA
Bridesmaid
Andrea and Chrisy have some stories to tell - Andrea says she and Chrisy met while “getting into trouble in the Alpha Phi sorority.” They especially love to have girl’s nights, whether out on the town, or in Chrisy’s apartment with wine and face masks. Don’t put a movie on too soon though - Chrisy will surely fall asleep! Andrea loves how Chrisy was there for her before and after she became a mother to little Scarlet and Eloise. Eloise and Chrisy used to be besties, but when Zach came into the picture- Chrisy became second place! She says Chrisy is bubbly, clumsy, hard-working and passionate, and that Chrisy’s positive attitude and drive inspires her everyday. Andrea’s pretty positive too - “I’m so happy she found Zach who completes her perfectly!”
FRANK
Groomsman
Like some of Zach’s other groomsmen, Frank was first introduced to his future friend while attending Pepperdine University. The two both rushed the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity–a fitting story considering that Frank now sees Zach as a brother. Some of Frank’s favorite qualities about Zach are that he is super loyal, friendly, accountable, charming, and charismatic. Maybe more than anything though, Frank loves how you can always count on Zach when you need him most. Even when Frank was going through a difficult stretch several years back, Zach’s compassion, attentiveness, and empathy never waned, as he constantly checked in on his friend to make sure Frank was okay. During that time, Frank recalls that Zach “never got annoyed or tired of me venting.” For reasons like this one (among many others), Frank feels fortunate to have a guy like Zach in his life. He’s thrilled that Zach and Chrisy make such a fun couple and he truly admires their love for each other.
STEFANIE

Stefanie and Chrisy’s friendship started on thin ice! Or it felt that way at the ice skating rink when Stefanie required Chrisy’s persistence and motivation to stay upright. But Stefanie has her own troubles keeping Chrisy upright - she falls asleep during every movie (and sometimes in public). But Stefanie and Chrisy agree, sleep is life. Stefanie may just be the reason for this wedding - early in Chrisy and Zach’s relationship, she helped woo him by sending him videos of their impressive Covid toilet paper stash. She’s pretty sure that’s what “secured the bag.” Chrisy says Stefanie is a constant source of encouragement and has become both her and Zach’s go-to style guide. She was there to provide insights on wedding dress shopping, interior design of their apartment and even what Zach should wear when he proposed!
PATRICK
Groomsman
Patrick and Zach share an eclectic backstory: the two have been friends of friends, fantasy football league mates, coworkers, roommates, and–most importantly–friends. Returning from a trip to Burning Man years ago, Patrick saw he’d missed a message from Zach inviting him to share a Santa Monica apartment. Accepting said invitation was a wise and fateful decision, because it afforded Patrick the opportunity to really get to know a wonderful guy like Zach. Patrick perpetually marvels at how Zach is able to deftly balance firm convictions and beliefs with an open mind and a generous heart. Some of his fondest memories of Zach involve long, deep, insightful, sprawling conversations held in their living room with the balcony door slid open to let in an ocean breeze and the California sunshine. Though Zach and Patrick did a nice job decking out that place, Patrick admits that Chrisy is a massive upgrade. Patrick is so thrilled he gets to celebrate the union of this incredible couple.
KELLY

Kelly and Chrisy met at an improv class. Chrisy informed Kelly that she would sign up for whatever class Kelly took and furthermore, Kelly was now on the improv team that Chrisy had just formed. Kelly is thankful that Chrisy took the lead on their friendship, and the way she’s always encouraging her to go outside her comfort zone and be confident. Kelly calls Chrisy “a PG-13 Minnie Mouse” and loves her sense of humor and curiosity about new topics. They’ve built their friendships on traditions like baking ugly Christmas sweater cookies and going to Harold Night at the UCB Comedy Theatre. There is one way in which Kelly takes the lead - she always chooses which movie to watch because she knows Chrisy will fall asleep as soon as it starts! Kelly is so honored to be a part of Chrisy and Zach’s day, she still remembers Chrisy’s line of blushing emojis to describe their first date!
NICO
Groomsman
Classmates, housemates, fraternity brothers, fellow travelers abroad… no matter how you slice it, Nico and Zach have walked together in lockstep since college. Like Jesse, Nico was lucky enough to know both Zach and Chrisy independently at Pepperdine. He admires the way they balance each other and share a genuine kindness; plus, he loves how Chrisy has enriched Zach’s life through her great sense of style, zest for life, and capacity for joy. Amongst Zach’s many positive qualities, Nico particularly appreciates his sense of humor, integrity, and drive for self-improvement and growth. Even back in school, Nico marveled at how someone so humble and understated could quietly finish near the very top of their college class. According to Nico, though, this shouldn’t have come as a surprise given how “hard-working” and “diligent” Zach has always been. Just don’t get Zach started on the infamous “kick the koozie” story from their spring break in Mexico (actually, do get him started – you won’t regret it).
KYRA
Bridesmaid
Kyra and Chrisy met while working at Lorna Jane when Kyra was just 19 years old. They had a rocky start, as Kyra says “ya girl was not a fan of Chrisy that first month!” But Kyra says Chrisy saw her potential and helped her come out of her shell and grow into the woman she is today. Their friendship blossomed outside of work with deep talks about life’s most difficult subjects - and wine! Kyra even jokes that she’s Chrisy’s therapist! Years later the two of them worked together again at Orangetheory fitness, where Zach was taking classes. Chrisy and Zach met on Hinge, but when she confided in Kyra, Kyra recognized him from work and vowed that she had to “mess with him a little bit.” She’s happy to say that years later he’s gotten used to her shenanigans and she regularly helps keep the couple up to date on GenZ lingo. Kyra says she’s loved watching their beautiful relationship blossom over the years, and is so happy for her “beautiful, hardworking, badass, big-headed, loving big sister.”
MIKE
Groomsman
Mike is an old friend of Zach’s dating back to their days at Pepperdine. The two amigos once traveled to Buenos Aires, Argentina, together to study abroad. Asked to describe Zach to someone who had never met him before, Mike paid him this compliment: Zach is “very skilled at naturally holding an engaging conversation.” Mike additionally praised Zach as someone who’s always open to trying something adventurous or off the beaten path, yet who’s simultaneously level-headed and modest enough to never brag about his many accomplishments. He also appreciates Zach’s love for the Dodgers. In terms of Zach and Chrisy, Mike loves how they’re both skilled at commanding the spotlight but also at knowing when to share it. That said, Mike recalls with a laugh the time Zach unintentionally stole the spotlight when he fell into a massive puddle in Argentina while trying to catch a bus in the pouring rain. Mike is honored that Zach considers him to be a role model in his life.
ALAYNA

Alayna and Chrisy met when they worked at Lorna Jane. They started becoming friends with shared exercise classes and coffee dates. Alayna says Chrisy is a great boss, who makes a point of getting to know all of her employees individually. In fact, her favorite things about Chrisy are how hardworking and loyal she is. Not that she’s all business - Alayna remembers when the two of them went to the Comedy Store for a show and Alayna refused to pay $14 for parking - they bolted out of the lot and were chased by the parking attendant down Sunset Boulevard! No stranger to parking mischief herself, Chrisy was delighted and laughed the whole ride home. Chrisy says Alayna is one of the most impressive people she’s ever met and her endless achievements. She even refers to Alayna as “daughter goals” because she hopes her future children will be just like her.
