Things to Read Ahead of Travel to Sonoma CA

LODGING We have arranges for a small room block at the Best Western Sonoma (details below). There are also plenty of AirBnbs, VRBOs, and other hotels in the area; some suggestions below. Please note, Sonoma has a very strict 10 PM outdoor noise policy, so wherever you stay, we ask that you honor local regulations. TRANSPORTATION Event Shuttle: Transportation to and from the wedding venue will be provided. Ubers/Lyfts: Rideshares are available in the area, but please plan ahead if relying on these for transportation, as rideshares are limited in the area. PACKING Weather can be anywhere from daytime temperatures in the 90s to the mid-50s at night. Please check the weather closer to the wedding and pack appropriately. STREET SMARTS While the San Francisco Bay area has been in the news for safety considerations, this is nothing different than any large metropolitan city. Please make sure to not leave any valuables in the car (bring your electronics with you) and don't store anything in visible sight in San Francisco and the East Bay Area.

While we recommend that out-of-town guests arrange for rental cars or carpool, there is a bus service that runs from SFO and OAK to Petaluma (from where you could arrange for a taxi or uber).
