It’s small and easy to navigate, with limited direct flights—ideal for those who can find a good connection. San Jose Mineta International Airport (SJC) – Best balance of options and distance. About 1.5 hours from Carmel, SJC offers a wider range of domestic flights and is less hectic than SFO. Great choice for guests looking for flexibility without a long drive. San Francisco International Airport (SFO) – Best for international travelers or major hubs. Around 2 to 2.5 hours from Carmel, SFO is the largest airport with the most flight options. Expect more traffic and longer travel time, but it’s ideal for guests flying in from far away.
