Monterey Regional Airport (MRY) – Best for convenience. Just 15 minutes from Carmel, MRY is the closest airport to the wedding venue. It’s small and easy to navigate, with limited direct flights—ideal for those who can find a good connection. San Jose Mineta International Airport (SJC) – Best balance of options and distance. About 1.5 hours from Carmel, SJC offers a wider range of domestic flights and is less hectic than SFO. Great choice for guests looking for flexibility without a long drive. San Francisco International Airport (SFO) – Best for international travelers or major hubs. Around 2 to 2.5 hours from Carmel, SFO is the largest airport with the most flight options. Expect more traffic and longer travel time, but it’s ideal for guests flying in from far away.
