Our introduction came as a result of mutual friends back in 2017. There wasn't anything spectacular happening. I was at my friend's house when he came in after a shift at work swinging his Miami Dolphins' lanyard. It was just another day, another hangout, and another guy. I think we thought very little of each other at first, but it didn't take long for us to realize we clicked. We bonded over a love for board games, and the greatest show ever, "Parks and Recreation." Our first date was watching probably a few too many episodes of it in fact. Chris was one of the people who encouraged me to rekindle my relationship with Jesus which had been put aside, and I am eternally grateful that he did. Chris has always appeased me with my constant desire to take long walks through IKEA for the millionth time and my late night rambles over the phone while I have entertained his love for retelling his day in a thirty minute monologue and trying foods with ingredients from six different continents. Chris balances my constant drive forward and focus on the future with his easy-going, mellow approach to life and natural residence in the present moment. I'm excited to take on family, travel, young adulthood, old adulthood (lol), and life with him. September 6th, 2020, here we come!
